5. day with thomas

Chapter 5: Day with Thomas

I slowly open my eyes and stare at the wall in front of my bed. My phone was on my dresser so I grabbed it to see I had five unseen texts. All were from Thomas. I unlocked my phone and saw what he texted.

-

thomas - good morning!

thomas - how are you??

thomas - excited to hang-out!

thomas - I'll pick you up at 12

thomas - see you in 3 hours :'')

He sent them all one minute ago. I decided to start getting ready, even though we're hanging out in three hours. I text him back.

me - I'm excited too!

thomas - great! I'll see you later!

I go to the bathroom and take a ten-minute shower. After, I get out and put on a grey t-shirt with the word 'Paradise' written in black ink and slip on jean shorts.

I open a drawer and grab my curling iron, plugging it in and waiting for it to heat up. I dry my hair and comb it, then I take the curling iron and start to curl my hair.

I slip on my converse and get my purse, putting my wallet and phone in it.

I do my make-up and go downstairs. When I get into the kitchen, I eat cereal and go outside, waiting for Thomas.

He soon arrives and we start walking to the park. On our way, we went to the ice-cream parlor. Thomas and I sat down on a bench in the park, talking and looking at the lake.

"We should go to the carnival."

"Oh! I heard about that. Sure," I say, smiling at him. "Okay, then let's go."

He stands up and holds out his hand. I take it and he helps me stand up. We walk to the Carnival and went to the Ticket Booth.

"On me," Thomas says. "Oh no, Thomas! You don't have to do that!"

"No really, I want to."

I smile at him and he buys the tickets. We went on a couple of rides and Thomas won me a stuffed bear.

Last we went on the Ferris wheel.

We both walked into the cart and we sat next to each other. He put his arm around me and I put my head on his shoulder. And his head on top of mine. The cart slowly goes up, people going off and on, one by one.

We both looked at the view. It was beautiful. It was the sunset under the lake and forest.

"It's beautiful," I whisper.

"I have a better view," Thomas says and I turn around to look at him. It took me a while to realize he meant me.

"That's great. But it isn't true." I say, shaking me head, looking down at my lap.

"Yes it is. You shouldn't doubt it. It's true." Two of his fingers lift up my chin and smiles. I smile and he pulled me closer. We stared into each other's eyes. He leans in and out lips touch. He kisses me and I kiss back. He didn't do it roughly... but passionately. [ yes I know this is rushed, I will not be changing most of the big events in this book that I wrote before, like this one. ]

We pull away and sit there in silence. We both smile at each other and got off the ride once we were on the ground.

We took each other's hand.

His hand in my hand and the other had the stuffed bear he won me.

We walked to Thomas's house. We arrived just in time for dinner. Thomas introduced me to his parents and his sister, Ava. We sat at the dining table and ate steak and mashed potatoes.

"So, Destiny I hear your new at school." Thomas's dad says. "Yeah, I just moved here from Florida in the US."

"Interesting... it's nice Thomas made a new friend. It's been two years since he introduced us to one we've haven't seen around the school before." Thomas's mother smiled at me.

I smile back. We soon finish dinner and Thomas walks me back home.

"Tonight was fun," I say, while holding both of Thomas's hands in front of my house. "Yes, it was." He hands me back my stuffed bear and leans in to give me a small peck on the lips, causing me to smile. When we pull away, the words just slip out of my mouth.

"Can you stay with me?" After I blurted that out, I cover my mouth. "Sure, just let me talk to my mom and dad." I sit on the porch and wait for Thomas who is calling his mom.

"She said yes," Thomas says and we walk into the house, swinging our hands up and down.

We go into my bedroom and lay in bed. We turn around, and look into each other's eyes. Thomas scooted closer to me and leaned in, until our lips touched.

[ oh wow, three kisses today. makes me question if i love being single or not. ]

I pulled him closer and wrapped my arms around his neck. We pulled away for air and then we continued.

After, I put my head on his chest and he was playing with my hair. He kissed my forehead and said," Sweet dreams, love." And I closed my eyes, thinking of what tomorrow would bring.
