Chapter 16: People Problems

[ destiny's point of view ]

It's been a few minutes since Thomas left but I didn't leave my room. I was thinking about what he would do with Erika.

I then get a text from Thomas: Meet me behind the ice cream parlor at 4:20.

I smiled at that and looked at the time. It was 4:01. I went to my closet and looked at some of my clothes, looking for something that would be comfortable since the clothing I recently changed into weren't that comfortable.

As I grabbed some black baggy sweatpants and a pink sweatshirt, I suddenly remembered something, Christmas was 20 more days.

[ a/n: please note that when I made this book last year, it was near christmas ]

Which meant, it's my birthday in 20 more days. I get my red scarf and put it around my neck. I get my black purse, making sure it has money cause I wanted some coffee and thought maybe I could go to the nearest café.

It was snowing and I decide to walk even though people would die in this weather. I like the cold though. I walk to the café which was 2 blocks away and order a frappuccino.

After, I walk to the ice cream parlor. It was 4:23 when I got there. I walk to the side of the building, hopefully he wouldn't mind me being three minutes late, right?

Destiny should be here any minute now, I thought calmly. "Do you have it?"

"Have what?" I ask, trying to stall as much as I can with Thomas. "My wallet!"

"Um....." I say long enough to see Destiny walking to the side of the building. I then push Thomas on the wall.

"What are you-" but I cut him off by placing my lips on his. He tries to push away but I tighten my grip on him long enough so Destiny could have some time to see.

He placed his hands on my shoulders to push me away which only made it look like he was kissing me back, which was great.

I pull away and look at her. Tears were pouring down her face and I smirked.

"Destiny!" Thomas says, quickly pulling the strength to push me away. She looked heart broken and since I knew her dad had died just a few days ago, that was a plus.

But she shakes her head. She turns around and walks away. "Destiny, wait!"

"No! First you ask me to the dance and then you fricken kiss her! I trusted you! After every thing I've been through these few days and you have the nerve to do this." Destiny said.

My plan is going great. I smirked.

"Destiny, she k-" But he was cut off by Destiny pouring her coffee on him.

I let out a small laugh and Destiny said,"I never did like that coffee. Looks better on you. Don't dare talk to me after this."

And with that she leaves screaming,"Oh yeah! I'm not going to the dance!"

Thomas turns towards me and says,"Why the fuck would you do this? You're so shallow, you know that right? I'm in no doubt that you knew about her father's death and you pull the nerve to actually do this. I don't know what's better, knowing that you'll never find a soulmate or that you'll go to hell after everything you've done. Bloody hell, after everything you've done to everyone it's in no doubt that everyone hates you. I bet Lauren doesn't even like you, she just feels bad for you."

It hurt to hear those words but I quickly shook them off. "Oh Tommy. We all know you like me more." I say running my hands on his jacket, which only infuriated him more.

He pushes me off and runs off finding Destiny. I sigh and close my eyes.

I'm walking to my porch when I hear Thomas yelling my name, my anger increasing. This boy really doesn't know when to give up.

I turned around to see him running down the street. I quickly ten and run to my door.

I unlock it and go inside, locking the door after. I stay there, listening to Thomas banging on the door. I hear Thomas saying,"I know your in there."

I don't open the door though, tears streaming down my face. "Fine."

Then I hear my garage door open. "Crap."

Why the fuck did I trust him so much to give him my garage pass thing? I'm going to have to tell mom to change it. I thought.

"Destiny, I know your here." I go into my closet and silently closed doors.

I heard my bedroom door open and footsteps near the closest. "Go away, Thomas!"

"Destiny, come out." Thomas says. "No."

I walked around my closet as I had a slight walk in closet which wasn't as big as Timothy's but still big. "Please."

I slowly gave in and walked over to the door, and cautiously opened it.

"Destiny, I didn't kiss her." Thomas said.

"Then what was that little scene, at the parlor." I crossed my arms, raising my eyebrow as I rolled my eyes a bit.

"She kissed me." Thomas said.

"But you didn't pull away."

"But I tried to."

"Are you saying Erika is stronger than you?" I say, chuckling a bit as I smirked.

"N-no. She just has a firm grip." Thomas says. I let out a small laugh. "I believe you. I don't trust Erika at all and she's mischievous anyways, I know she tries to ruin this relationship way to much."

He lets go of his breath he held in as he waited for my answer and broke into a huge smile.

I open the doors to my balcony. I never went on my balcony before.

Thomas and I walk to the edge of the balcony and look up at the moon. I then smell something. I start to sniff the air in the direction of the smell. It lead to Thomas.

"Tom-" I say but he cuts me off.

"It's coffee." I let out a small smile. I just remembered I spilt coffee on him.

I go back into my room and grab some napkins. I go back outside and tried to wipe the coffee stains off of him which were impossible to the very less. "I'm so sorry."

"No, it's okay. Don't worry about it. Besides, I do have to do the laundry anyways."

I look up at him and chuckled causing him to smile, followed by me returning it.
