Chapter 22: Holidays
It was Christmas Eve and I was in the living room with Thomas, limbs wrapped around each other as we laid on the couch.
Thomas was going to stay over night and spend Christmas morning with me but he has to leave near the afternoon to spend time with his family, whom he had already told his plans on visiting to earlier, a few minutes ago.
Tomorrow was my birthday.
I hoped Thomas remembered considering it was Christmas tomorrow and I dropped obvious hints to him that might get him to freshen up his memory. He did ask when my birthday was a month ago so I'm hoping he has a good memory, and remembers.
Even though I tried to give him hints, he showed no sign in showing that tomorrow is no more than special because it's Christmas, not saying anything about my birthday at all.
Since today was Christmas Eve, I usually named two events on this day.
One: Christmas Eve.
Two: Birthday Eve.
The only thing I hate is that when I get a gift, people think it'd be cool to give me one gift for both of the events; Christmas and my birthday. That was the only flaw I could point out.
I was happy to hear that Thomas wanted to spend time with me on Christmas. I was even more happy when I realized this was going to be our first Christmas together, and he'd be there for half of my birthday at least.
I usually loved when people showered me with gifts on Christmas. You could call me selfish and spoiled but I find it non selfish if someone actually cared enough to spend that much money on me.
Once when I turned 12, I got no gift. None for Christmas and none for my birthday. I was slightly pissed that I didn't even get one cents worth of a present, all I got was an empty hand which I got when I was born.
So basically, I didn't get anything. An empty hand was given to me when I was born, so that wouldn't count as a present I guess.
Tim and Alyssa found a place to live and they were going to have there wedding in three months. They were going to stay in England instead of moving back to America.
Thomas and I were sitting by the fire, drinking hot chocolate. It was 11pm.
I had already gotten Thomas a present, which was yesterday since I usually always go shopping late, plus I really didn't enjoy shopping much so it took time to recover from laziness and actually drive to the mall.
I didn't know what to get him so I just bought him a black leather jacket, which I thought would look perfect on him.
We sat on the couch and his arm was around my waist. I laid my head on his shoulder. We were watching Disney princess movies.
We have already watched Frozen (which may I add, that we had some horrible singing skills full of voice cracks jokingly), Pocahontas, and now we're watching Snow White.
My eyes started to close, my eyes starting to get droopy. Thomas was staring off into space as he looked at the screen. "Her voice is so... high pitched. My ears slightly hurt, Des. Can't we lower the volume a bit to 20? I don't really want my ears to fall off from 90."
