They say love is blind, I couldn't agree more. Zeke had the most shocking faults, he did inhumane things, and yet I still loved him regardless. I couldn't stop loving him, and every second of tonight I am preparing myself for tomorrow. The heart keeps the best memories.

It was Sunday morning and I kept thinking - pondering more like - over what Zeke was doing in the woods. Why didn't the person he was with come back? Was it his girlfriend? Friend? Maybe even sibling? The thoughts just rattled around in my head, with no solutions.

Suddenly, out of nowhere I got a call from my Mum and Dad.

"Heyah sweetie. I know it's hard for you, that Emily is such a nuisance running out to parties and whatnot, but Paris is just so beautiful and - what? Phil stop it!" My mums voice was cut off and I could hear mumbling in the background.

"Sorry about that, honey." She continued, "Where was I? Oh yes, we decided to stay on another week, is that OK with you?"

OK? I was practically jumping for joy! This meant that Zeke could stay even longer!

"Yeah mum, that's fine! I gotta go now bye. Love you loads!" I stammered then quickly hung up, I was so happy!

I started humming while I was making lunch, but someone spoke behind me making me jump.

"Abby?"

I recognised that voice, it was deep and masculine. I turned around quickly.

"Zeke?" I said, my face turning a deep shade of red. "W-what are you doing here?"

"You brought me home?"

I blushed even more at the way he worded it. "I mean downstairs."

"Oh, well I was getting bored lying in bed all day." Zeke explained, "Thought I would come down and explore a bit."

"Oh,"

I went up to the bathroom to brush my teeth, as I was there I looked closely into the mirror. My long, brown hair was scraped back into it's usual ponytail. My glasses, which try to avoid wearing as much as possible, sat on the end of my nose. Behind them were my chocolate brown eyes, curtained by my long thick eyelashes. I am quite pale, small and skinny. I've never once considered myself at all attractive. I took off my glasses and added a coat of mascara and a hint of lipstick, then decided to go back downstairs to see Zeke.

Zeke was eating a sandwhich in front of the television when I walked in, he was watching the news channel. As soon as I made my own lunch and sat down the local news came on. A man in a smart looking suit was reporting a missing person.

"Good afternoon. Have you ever seen this person?"

There was a picture of a young boy around fifteen on the screen. The reporter continued;

"This picture was taken thirteen years ago, but it was the only picture we could find. His name is Damien O'Kane and has been reported to have murdered numerous people..."

The reporter continued talking but I was too focused on the picture to concentrate, the boy looked familiar. I tried to search my brain for maybe some sort of memory as to where I've seen him before. Did he go to my school? Maybe I'd seen him around a few times. I looked over at Zeke, who had a worried expression on his face.

"Zeke, you OK?" I asked.

He looked startled by my question. "Oh, um, yeah. It's just to think that there's a murderer on the loose in a small town with young children. It just scares me, that's all."

I stared at him as he rambled on, he must get scared easily. Though the thought of having a killer on the loose freaked me out too. I decided to turn on some Glee to cheer us up.

"Have you ever watched Glee before?" After I spoke, I just realised what I said. He could barely remember what month it was, never mind what every character in New Directions was called. "Oh, never mind." I added quietly.

I could see Zeke in the corner of my eye, he was opening his mouth about to say something, but before he could Emily crashed through the door.

"OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD!" She exclaimed, giving me the impression that something was seriously wrong.

"What's wrong?" I asked, feeling my mouth open in shock.

Emily started to describe how her favourite artist was coming her for a concert. Personally, I hated her taste in music, it was so mainstream. I was more into alternative music myself.

I sighed heavily and told her to leave me alone, she scared the life out of me! When she left I saw Zeke staring at me again.

"Does it not bother you living with your family when you're so old?" He commented.

"I'm only twenty-four! And houses are expensive these days, too expensive for me."

He nodded his head in agreement, although I knew he had no idea what I was talking about. He doesn't know about mortgages or house rates. This amnesia would take a lot of getting used to.

I was walking down the main road, coming back from the local supermarket when I saw a poster for Damien O'Kane. I stopped and stared at it, trying to work out why he looked so familiar.

He had short hair spiked up in a school boy style, although I couldn't tell what colour anything was as it was printed in black and white. He had thick glasses, shielding the piercing eyes that lay beneath them. His mouth was plastered in a large grin, revealing two rows of slightly crooked teeth. He looked smart in his uniform, with his top button undone and his tie in a thin knot.

I stared at it a little longer, unaware of where I remembered him from. Eventually I walked on, shrugging the thought out of my mind. When I got home, Zeke surprised me with some excellent news.

"I remembered where I live!"
