An hour and a half has passed. I'm running out of time. So is Zeke.

What I would give to be with him right now. I would give even more to stop tomorrow from happening.

I woke up and rubbed my eyes before looking down and noticing I was fully dressed.

"What the hell?" I mumbled to myself as I massaged my forehead.

Suddenly, everything came back to me. Poddy, his motorbike and the mysterious loud bang. I got up out of bed and changed into a hoodie and my sweats.

I walked into the front room to find my dad sipping on a cup of coffee. I decided to confront him.

"Where were you last night?" I asked as I sat down facing him.

"Out for dinner. We were going to invite you but you were out and all." he answered, keeping his eyes fixed on the T.V.

All of a sudden, the doorbell rang.

I shrugged my shoulders and went to answer the door. I was surprised to find Zeke standing at my porch looking back at me.

"Why are you here so early?" I questioned him, feeling quite confused.

"Abby," he said while raising his eyebrow "it's eleven."

"Oh,"

I let him in the door and brought him into my kitchen.

We made ourselves some tea and chatted away. About an hour later there was a knock on the door again and my Mum came into the kitchen followed by a police officer.

I stood up out of my seat. "Mum, what's happened?"

"He says he wants to talk to you." Mum said while giving me a what-did-you-do glare.

The police officer sat facing me and Zeke and my mother left the room. Zeke looked very nervous and started to twiddle his thumbs.

The Policeman spoke, "Are you aware of the burglary that took place late last night?"

"Apologies Sir, but I would feel a lot more comfortable if I knew your name." I said quietly while Zeke stayed silent.

"Officer Black, pleased to meet you. I'm aware you are Abby Winston. Daughter of Grace and Paul Winston."

I nodded. Officer Black spoke again.

"A burglary took place around the late hours of twelve thirty this morning. Do you have any information?"

I remembered the bang I heard and the alarm going off.

"Yes," I said. "Last night I heard a large bang followed by an alarm. Is that relevant?"

"Everything is relevant, miss. Is that all the information you have?"

I nodded.

"Right well, I'll be on my way. Thank you." Officer Black turned his attention to Zeke. "You look familiar, sir. Have I seen you before?"

Zeke looked very nervous and shook his head.

"He suffers from amnesia, he can't remember everything." I informed him.

Officer Black nodded and left our house. I looked over at Zeke who seemed agitated.

"Are you okay?" I asked gently.

He nodded. "I, uh, I have to go now. I'll, um, see you later."

I showed Zeke the door and waved goodbye. Strange.
