AN: Please leave comments as you read so I can know what works and what stuff I should probably skip in future chapters. Anyway, hope you enjoy!

"Hope, come on." Enna said as she tugged at the girl's arm, receiving a groan in response. "We missed school yesterday, we have to go today." Enna told her.

"I don't want to." Hope said, and Enna sighed.

"You told your parents you'd go today." Keelin said as she poured herself a cup of coffee, still in her pj's.

Hope sighed as she laid her head down on the counter. "I know." She mumbled.

"I don't mean to be rude, but is Freya's wife..pregnant?" Finn whispered towards the girls as Keelin—who had started to show, went towards the fridge to get creamer.

"Yeah." Hope mumbled, not lifting up her head.

"...how?"

"Are you familiar with Vincent Griffith?" Enna asked. Finn looked at her questioningly, tilting his head.

"They haven't told you much about me have they?" He asked, Enna only shrugged. "Yes I know Vincent Griffith." He said.

"Well, apparently he gave them his...seed, so they could have a child and raise it." Enna explained.

"That's unusual." Finn frowned.

"I think so too, but they seem happy so." Enna said with a shrug, and Finn nodded.

Enna looked back at Keelin with sadness in her eyes as she watched the woman stoke her swollen belly.
She was happy for her of course, it just reminded her of her own pregnancy.

Hope finally lifted her head from the counter, frowning as she followed Enna's gaze.

"You know what, you're right. We have to go to school sometime."

"So Ella apologized but not Hope?" Brian asked as he, Sarah, Liam, Lola, and Jack stood in the lunch line.

"Exactly, Ella said she was sorry but Hope kept saying they had nothing to apologize for. Like if she hasn't been lying to us." Lola said.

"I mean, she's kind of got a point." Liam mentioned.

"Yeah I mean, we haven't been friends long, can we really expect them to tell us their secrets? I don't tell you guys everything and we've known eachother years." Sarah pointed out as she served herself food.

"Thats not what I mean. They were lying about their identities, not their thoughts." Lola said.

"Whatever, let's just go sit down." Sarah dismissed as they finished serving themselves food.

They walked around the cafeteria only to see Hope and Enna already sitting down. Hope avoided eye contact with the group as Enna had an awkward expression on her face.

The first to sit with them was Sarah, the rest of the group followed with the exception of Lola. Who sighed before reluctantly sitting across from Hope.

The table was silent for a moment as nobody knew exactly what to say.

"Hope was 7 when she was enrolled." Enna mentioned.

"Don't-" Hope started.

"Our mom used her maiden name so Hope could live a normal-ish life." Enna ignored Hope.

"I don't need you to defend me." Hope told her.

"You were trying to live a normal life." Enna told her, before turning back to her friends. "Which isn't that the whole reason we come to this school? So we can feel normal instead of abnormal in a public school?" She asked them, they exchanged looks.
