"Stop, get it off" Enna mumbled drowsily as she tugged at the wires Elena and Keelin kept attaching to her.

"Enna sweetie we need to get these on to check your vitals." Keelin tried explaining as she eased Enna back down on the gurney while Elena reattached the leads.

"I dunno what that means" Enna said.

"They just need to check your pulse and you're breathing and stuff sweetie." Hayley soothed as she stroked Enna's hair.

"M' okay though, feeling better." Enna told them.

"That's what you think, but they need to see what's going on with you, and since vampire blood isn't working it's time to try modern medicine ." Elijah explained as he stepped into view.

"We need to put in an IV, you're going to feel a prick." Elena explained as she disinfected Enna's left forearm before Keelin handed her the materials.

"Why?" Enna questioned.

"They use it to run test and give you blood or medicine." Hayley explained.

"Sharp pinch." Elena warned before inserting the IV. Enna winced slightly but didn't pull away, Elena taped it in place.

"She needs a transfusion." Keelin commented .

"I have some O-neg in the back." Elena told her, Keelin nodded as she left the room. "I'm going to take some blood now okay?" Elena told the girl as she attached tubes to the IV, blood pouring into them.

"Could you set a tube aside for Freya to spell?" Elijah asked, Elena nodded as she reached into a nearby drawer to pull out another tube to fill.
Keelin walked in with a bloodbag just as Elena filled and removed the last tube.

"Got it" Keelin said as she hung the blood, attaching it to the IV. "Do you have an ultrasound machine?" She asked Elena.

"Right over there" Elena nodded as she gestured towards the corner of the room. "I'm going to go run tests on the blood, you do the ultrasound?" Elena proposed, Keelin nodded and Elena left the room.

"I don't like this." Enna said as she tugged at the slightly IV only to wince.

"Hey, hey don't pull at it. Sweetie I know it's scary but they're trying to help you." Hayley said softly as she took the hand messing with the IV into her own.

"Enna, I need to check your stomach. This is going to be a little cold okay?" Keelin told Enna as she lifted the girl's shirt, the ultrasound wand in hand. Enna nodded before Keelin placed the wand with gel on the girl's abdomen. She moved it around a bit before pausing on the left side.

"She's bleeding there.." she moved it some more "there" moved it again, "and there."

Isabella Lockwood was not naturally sneaky. In fact, she rarely misbehaved. It wasn't that she was a golden child, but Isabella had always been homeschooled up until her mother was taken, so she never really had friends or any reason to sneak out.

So needless to say she was struggling to follow Sera's orders of constantly following Enna around, reporting back anything and everything, absolutely no getting caught, and currently.. steal from the Salvatore school.

Isabella held her satchel close to her chest, trying to keep the glass bottles from clinking together as she walked downstairs.

She had almost all the ingredients to break the spell, except for one thing.

Enna's blood.

Now it wasn't exactly like Isabella could just walk up to Enna and the Mikaelsons and ask nicely for it, so she had a different plan— or rather, Sera did.

Isabella would go to where Enna and Hope had crashed their car, and collect Enna's blood from the pieces of the broken window Enna had hit her head on.

She would have left through her window if it weren't for her roommate, so instead..

Isabella slowly opened the door and stepped outside the school, but just as she was about to close it a voice sounded behind her.

"And what do you think you're doing?" Alaric Saltzman asked as he caught the girl. Isabella grimaced as she opened the door fully.
"Let me guess...party?" He asked.

"......maybe." Isabella responded.

"Upstairs, now." He ordered.

Isabella groaned in fustration as she reluctantly made her way up the stairs. She was about to open the door to her dorm when the moonlight from down the hall caught her eye.

Of course.

The hall window.

Why didn't she think of that earlier?

"So you're going to put that down her throat?" Hayley asked Elena with her brows furrowed.

"Yes, it's called an endoscopy. We use it to cauterize the wounds from the inside and keep her from bleeding." Elena explained.

"Will it hurt her?" Elijah asked.

"No, she'll be sedated, and until Freya comes back with some sort of spell solution it's kind of our only option. Enna isn't healing like she should be right now." Keelin told them.

"I don't understand what you want to do to me." Enna spoke up.

Everyone was using all these words and terms she had never heard before, anything 'modern' wasn't her thing, especially modern medicine.

"We want to put this down your throat so we can close up the wounds using this little device that burns the wounds shut, but don't worry it won't hurt because we're going to put you to sleep first. You won't feel a thing" Elena gently explained.

"You're going to put me to sleep?" Enna asked, her heartbeat quickening.

"Just for a little while." Hayley said. Enna shook her head.

"I don't want to"

"It's the only way we can help you." Keelin tried to explain.

"No, no. I don't want to go to sleep." Enna shook her head as tears sprung to her eyes.

"Enna we only want to-" Elijah started.

"No! No please, I don't want to!" Enna interrupted as she reached for her IV.

"Enna don't-" Hayley grabbed her right hand to keep her from ripping the IV out and Elijah grabbed her left arm to keep the IV out of reach.

"No!" She cried as tears spilled from her eyes. "Please, please I'm sorry for whatever I did but please don't put me to sleep again!"

AN:
Ik I took a long time to update, I'm sorry. Writers block and spotty internet is not a good combination, especially when u add in early flights, vacation, and sleep deprivation.

I admit I did have to look stuff up for this chapter, srry if there r inaccuracies but what can I say, I'm not a doctor 🤷‍♀️

Anyway, Keeling and Elena are working together trying to treat Enna who is obviously pretty confused, which I mean I am too so who can blame her. Not like she can google like me at the moment.

Isabella has to go to crash scene to get Enna's blood.
Do you think she'll succeed?
Do you think she'll get caught?

I got pretty sad writing the end of this chapter, but I felt like it fit especially with her trauma after being put to sleep for 1500 years by people she trusted. I also feel like I don't rlly show how much that all affected her.
What do u think?
How do u think they're going to handle Enna not wanting the endoscopy?

Anyway, please vote and pretty please 🙏 comment. It helps keep me motivated

See u next update, have a nice while!

(Yes I said while because idk when I'm updating again)
