The waitress practically tossed the plates of food on the table. Making the dishes clatter and Enna wince at the loud noise.
"Can I get you anything else?" She asked.
"No thank you, that will be all." Isabella replied, the waitress nodded before walking away.
"What is this place?" Enna asked.
"It called The Grill, it's a restaurant. It doesn't matter we're just hiding here till Sera calls me back." Isabella responded as she clicked a couple buttons on her phone.
"Who is Sera?" Enna asked.
"Somebody who cares very much about what happens to you." Isabella said, biting her lip before putting her phone away.
"Eat, those are pancakes, your favorite." Isabella told her offhandedly as she reached over to cut up the pancakes, putting syrup on them before handing Enna the fork.
Enna awkwardly stabbed the food, but ate it anyway— faster than usual considering she hasn't eaten in forever.
Enna was almost done with her food when she flinched at the sudden loud noise coming from Isabella's phone.
"Shit it's her" Isabella's eyes widened, she looked around The Grill. She couldn't take the call there.
"Stay here, don't move. I'll be right back." Isabella instructed her before getting up and going to the bathroom.
Enna hardly noticed the lack of Isabella's presence, the Lockwood wasn't much of a conversationalist.. and given recent events neither was Enna at the moment.
Enna kept her eyes cast down at her plate, not wanting to pay too much attention to the world around her. It was too overwhelming and confusing— she could barely deal with all the noise as is.
She didn't even notice someone trying to get her attention.
"Ella, Ella, Ella" a voice kept saying, since that wasn't her name she didn't look up till a hand was waving in her face.
"Hello?" She looked up confused.
"Hey!" The guy said with a smile on his face, pausing when she still had a look of confusion on her face. "It's me, Blake." He said. He must know her, not that she could remember at the moment.
"Oh, alright." She said pressing her lips in a thin line.
" My name is Enna by the way, not Ella." She corrected him, he frowned in confusion.
"Really?" He asked, she nodded.
"Oh, then why do you go by Ella?" He asked, Enna shrugged.
"I do not remember." She said simply. His frown depended as he sat down in the seat across from her.
"El- Enna.. are you feeling okay?" He asked, she paused.
"Physically or emotionally speaking?"
"Both" he replied .
"Physically I feel better than ever before, mentally I wish I had never woken up from my coma." She responded flatly.
"Coma!? When were you in a coma!?" He asked alarmed.
"Not sure, a couple months ago, ask Isabella." She said taking a sip of her water. Blake blinked a couple times.
"...I don't understand." Blake said.
"Me neither, though I do not understand a lot of things. I guess that is predictable considering I have no idea what has happened the past 1500 years and no memory of what has happened these past couple months." Enna mumbled.
"...I'm sorry what now!?"
**
"Sera please they'll kill me, or Enna will kill me herself! She's scared of them now, there's no way she'll let me take her back to them." Isabella begged over the phone in a hushed voice while pacing the bathroom of The Grill.
