These Are My Confessions (3):

The whole afternoon I felt anxious. There were a million butterflies fluttering in my stomach and I was enjoying every minute of it. The time was five thirty so, I decided to take an early leave.

"Alright Moni I'm gone."

"Wait girl slow down. Who got my best friend all excited like this?" She asked with a smirk on her face.

"This guy that I met. I don't want to jinx it but, he could be the one."

"Well I'm excited for you. It's about time you go out and stop thinking about Keith." I looked down at the ground. I suddenly felt a wave a tears rushing down my face. She got from behind her desk and held me. "Oh sweetie I'm sorry I didn't mean to bring him up." I wiped my face of the tears.

"It's fine. I'll call you later." I walked from her embrace.

When I made it home I turned on the faucet to the bathtub letting the hot water fill it up. I put some bubble bath in it then turned my phone on to Pandora. About five songs later I got out the tub. I went to my dresser grabbing my lace underwear set. I decided on wearing a simple white jumpsuit with a gold belt, red Jimmy Choo's, gold cross necklace with matching hoop earrings. As for my hair I decided to straighten it. When I finished I got a text letting me know he was outside.

He was leaning against the car door. He was driving a convertible cherry red corvette. I admired his attire as I was approaching the car. He was wearing a black Burberry London suit with Giorgio Armani dress shoes. His whole demeanor gave off sex appeal. He was confident without being cocky and had a secret power to him.

"You look beautiful."

"You don't look bad yourself." He opened the door and I got in. When he got in his cologne instantly filled the car. This man always seemed to smell good.

"Where are we going?"

"It's a surprise." I felt myself become a little uneasy. "Relax I promise you will enjoy this." I sat back in my seat. He reached over the counsel and held my hand. Thirty minutes later we walked into this restaurant called Rêver. He walked to the passenger side and opened my door for me.

"Thank you." We went inside the restaurant and was greeted by the hostess. She led us to a table in the middle of the restaurant. I noticed that it was literally empty with exception of us and the people who work here.

"Alright I will be back with your drinks." The woman said before leaving.

"I can't believe you did this for me." I admired the place. It was really nice and looked high in. I knew I could never afford this on my budget alone.

"Anything for you." The woman came back with a bottle of wine.

"I want to get to know you."

"Well what do you want to know?"
"Everything." I took a sip from my glass then put some of my hair behind my ear.

"I'm from New York. I have one older sister Mariah, she has helped me through everything. My parents have been married since forever." I laughed. "I moved to Miami for college. Me and my sister actually. Now I'm lawyer at J&J law firm. What about you?"

"I already told you about my siblings. I've lived in Miami all my life. I can't seem to leave this city no matter how hard I try. I dabble in multiple businesses." The lady came back with our dinner. We had steak, mashed potatoes and asparagus. I cut into my steak and took a bite.

"This is amazing."

"I'm glad you like it." I noticed him watching me almost studying my every move.

"Tell me about your interests."

"I like to travel, I actually have to for my job. I'm always interested by the fast life and experiencing new things. I would love to show you."

"Where would we go?"

"Anywhere your heart desirers. I could take you all over the world and introduce you to brand new things."

"I might have to take you up on that offer."

"How about you?"

"Well I've always loved to read. Even when I was a little girl I've always been kind of a nerd."

"I could never picture you as nerd."
"How would you?" He got up from his seat and walked over to me. He scooted my chair back then grabbed my hand back. I got up and followed him as led me to the middle of the floor. Soft music started playing in the background. He spun me around smoothly bringing me close to his body to him.

"I picture as this strong confident female that could have anything that she wanted." I felt my body heat up and face start to blush. I put my head on his chest since his body towered over me.

"Don't do that. I love to look at your beautiful face." He lifted my face so our eyes would connect. He held me close in his arms as we slowly rocked to the beat. His hands slowly traveled down to my waist.

"You know it's cute when you do that." He commented.

"What?"

"The way your face turns red when I touch you." I couldn't help but to blush. I swear he does something to me. "If you could have anything you wanted what would it be?" I thought for a moment before giving him my answer.

"Happiness. Real happiness that type you get from just waking up in the morning and knowing that everything is going to be alright. Knowing that your family is straight and that they want for nothing. I know it sounds silly but, I just want the simple things out of life." I expressed. He nodded his head. The rest of the evening we spent dancing and talking about old times.

Once he pulled up to my house he opened the door for me then followed me to my door.

"I really enjoyed myself."

"Maybe we can do this again?"

"I will be looking forward to it." I kissed his cheek before opening the door. I slowly slid down the door listening to the sound of his car driving off into the distance.
