I woke up to the sound of the doorbell. I scrambled out of bed looking for something I could use for protection. I went to the kitchen grabbing a fork from the drawer. I opened the door to see Moni fully dressed for work.

"Robyn I think you have lost it boo. What the hell were you going to do with a fork?"

"Shut up it was the first thing I saw to protect myself with." I shrugged.

"Get dressed so we can go." We walked into the bedroom.

"Shit I don't have any clothes."

"Have you tried looking in the closet?" I shook my head no. "Then go look." I opened the closet which was filled with clothes that still had price tags on them. "Aiyden might be crazy but, the man sure has style."

"It's beautiful." I picked up a blazer then looked at the price tag. "This is expensive five thousand dollars for a blazer. I could get something similar to this at BeBe for thirty dollars."

"I say you enjoy this shit for all he put you through. You deserve this." She said going through the clothes. "Plus if you don't want them I'll take it."

"Shut up, pick me out something so we can leave." I turned on the shower stepping into it. After taking care of my hygiene I wrapped up in a towel going back into the room. There was a sheer pink tank top with a high waisted stripped white and black skirt. For accessories I added a simple feather chain, a white watch and a black clutch. I put everything on and then we headed into her car. I put on a little bit of make up to hide the bags from under my eyes. I took my hair out of the braid letting my hair wave up into big curls. We walked into the building together. "Moni call everyone into the conference room for me."

"Yes ma'am Ms. Jackson." She winked at me. I walked in sitting at the head of the table as everyone started filing in. When the door closed behind everyone I got up.

"Good morning everyone, I know everyone has been wondering about my disappearance lately and I want to apologize. Everybody this usually not in my character to leave without leaving some form of an explanation. I honestly don't have excuse other than I needed a break. We all know how it is our jobs are stressful and we are the best at what we do for a reason. We work hard to make sure we take care of our clients. And sometimes we need a break. I hope you all can understand that. "I looked around the room seeing everyone nod their heads. "As your boss I want to be someone that you can count on. I want you to know that I appreciate each one of your talents and your work has not gone unseen. With that being said everybody gets an appreciation week, lunch and breakfast is on me for the whole week. Enjoy the rest of your day." I walked out the room heading to my office. When I got in there was box with a card attached. I undid the box which contained a tennis bracelet. I ripped the top of the envelope.

'I know you said you needed space but, I'm going to prove to you that I've changed.' –Aiyden. I put the box along with the card in my desk.

"That was generous of you." Moni said walking into my office taking a seat.

"I felt I owed them that." I let out a sigh.

"Well I came to let you know that your appointment is here also ask where I should order from."

"Let them in and order whatever just make sure it's within the budget." She got up from the chair walking out. Seconds later a knock was heard from my door. I got up from my chair.

"Come in." The woman stepped into my office. "Hi I'm Robyn."

"Elizabeth." She said reaching out to shake my hand.

"Let's begin." The rest of my day was filled with multiple appointments from various clients. I was just ready to go and take a shower. As I was packing up my things I realized I didn't have my car. I went to my office phone dialing his number.

"I'm surprised you're calling me." His smooth voice rang through the phone.

"I need my car."

"When you need it? I can bring it by the house."

"Now, just drop it off."

"I'll see you in a few." He hung up the phone. I finished packing the rest of my belongings and went to go look for Moni. There was a note attached to her desk saying she had to leave early to pick up her son. I went back into my office dialing his number again.

"Hello."

"Actually you can just pick me up at my office."

"I'm no more than five minutes away."

"Ok." I hung up the phone walking out the building.

"You have a nice night Ms. Jackson." One of the security guards said.

"You to Jacob." I walked over to. I got into the passenger seat putting on my seatbelt.

"You look beautiful." He glanced over at me while pulling off.

"Thank you, you look good too." I smiled at him pushing some hair behind my ear.

"Shit you know what there is somewhere I have to be real quick. Do you mind if we swing by real quick?"

"Am I even dressed appropriately?"

"Yeah you look fine. We aren't even going to stay long an hour tops." I looked at him with a side eye.

"Just an hour." He did a U-turn going in the opposite direction of the house I am temporarily staying in.

"How was your day?" He asked trying to make small talk.

"It was fine, nothing major."

"That's good. I hope you liked the present I sent you."

"Thank for it by the way but, you know I can't keep it."

"Consider it as an apology present."

"It still doesn't change anything."

"I know, at least it's a start." We pulled up to his house. I gave him the side eye as he got out the car helping me out the car. There was no one in sight it was just the two of us.

"You lied." I said crossing my arms over my chest.

"Technically I didn't." He grabbed the remote to the stereo turning it on. He grabbed my waist then started unhooking my arms. He placed them on the back of his neck then put his hand on my hips swaying us to the beat.

"Why are you doing this Aiy? I can't keep playing the games. If this is your attempt to hurt me, I'm letting you know they know where I am." He chucked lightly.

"I'm going to hurt you Robyn, I want you back. I want you to know that I love you and I need help. I never was taught how to love. I need to show me."

"Hypothetically speaking if I were to give you another chance what is going to be different?"

"I'm taking my medication to help me get better. I will show you that I can be you need and I promise you I'll do better." I leaned into his chest inhaling his scent. I know he is lying like every always. It's only a matter of time before he snaps and I'm left to pick up the piece to another broken puzzle. But, I can forgive right? Everyone deserves a second chance. I hate how much I love him but, it all trickles back to Keith. I think that if he was still alive walking around I wouldn't be broken. I'm searching for love where there is no love to be found. I looked up into the eyes of the beast that I let take control of me.

"I want to be friends and if we grow into something more than that's what it will be. I also want you to come by the house every day to make sure your taking your medicine."

"I can do that." He tried to kiss me but I turned my head to where he kissed the corner of my mouth.

"Friends don't kiss." I smirked.
