Nobley looks over his shoulder and then back at Jess with a frown. The others get up and make their way outside.

"What on earth could it be?" Jess asks Henry as they walk outside.

Up in the night sky is billions and billions of stars that cover the sea of black in brilliant light.

But that's not the remarkable part. Jess spots one of them; a shooting star, blazing across the sky briefly. Amelia holds her breath. Elizabeth gasps and points up with a giggle.

Then another appears to the far right. It's a meteor shower right here right now.

It's so gorgeous, so unlike anything you see in the city, that Jess is literally left breathless. She just stares up at the stars in wonder, a smile of amazement on her lips.

Ella is taken by the sight and through this distraction Mr. Bradford slips his hand into hers at her side as she grins up at the sky. Her cheeks grow bright red at this and she looks at him when he smiles at her.
