Deep in the Aetesian mainland.

787.15 Miles from the Carrier JN Katsuragi

December 5, 1773 | 12:30 HOURS

The factory below bustled with activity cloaked in dust and smut. Workers moved swiftly, hauling ammunition and equipment out, while new materials were brought in. Soldiers and armoured vehicles stood to watch, the Aetesian banner draped over every corner of the facility. Carts on narrow-gauge rails were pushed inward carrying raw resources; outside, unpainted vehicles emerged alongside artillery pieces and heavy equipment, all being loaded into a waiting armoured train.

As the day grew busier than expected, spurred by the recent surprise assault by Prince Gourmet and the subsequent admission of peace talks, the situation remained grim for the common workers. Paid little and toiling harder than the average soldier, they bore the weight of the war effort with weary resolve.

"Get your ass moving!"

Fatigued by the long working hours, some quietly wished they were on the far end of the spectrum: The Thurmifiman Empire, where working conditions were said to be far better. The mood remained bleak, few held even a sliver of hope that the early bombing strike over Alervon's capital would change anything.

Inside, the lack of fans and conditioning makes the whole factory a busy sight. Glaring through the windows, the director of the Factory takes a heavy puff out of his cigar as a high military advisor, Draco watches the whole ordeal.

"The quotas aren't going to be met."

Said the director, giving an expression of concern.

"My workers are getting tired and are more likely to strike out if shit doesn't go as planned. Many artillery pieces and the armoured vehicles we brought should take at least a few more weeks before they are combat-ready..."

"We will deal with those issues back at the capital... I just need you to double the production; the Japanese and their allies are going to come to the mainland sooner or later..."

Hearing that sentence, the director glances back and gives his critique.

"Bringing a war to our homeland and striking against our few allies!? Even if it may cause my death, I'll say this... This is a fucking worse outcome than the Aetesian Empire brought to themselves by attacking our allies and then having to destroy a moment of peace. Prince Gourmet was blinded, and I have my senses that you may have brought that to him!"

The director brought up his opinion that if the prince's government had heard, it could have killed him for it. Yet Draco was not a fool and appreciated his words and brought his truth.

"Perhaps you're right."

Draco replied.

"The prince has been in a struggle for power and control, and the situation has gone for the worse... You're lucky that I wasn't a fool, blindsided by pride. I'll not speak regarding your opinions, but I'll make sure I'll double that quota for that comment."
