Manik's P.O.V.

So she was our Jenni. Yes! Finally we found her...or maybe she found us. Yiepee!

"Man, you thinking right, I am Jenni. How are you man?" she said and we did our classic handshake.

"I almost forgot how you looked Man!" she said.

"Even I forgot you." I replied.

"Even I am there yaar." said Dhruv and we three hugged.

"Bhai? You still get those attacks?" asked Dhruv's little sister, Jennifer.

"Yes. Um..Jenni? How is... How did that man treat you?" asked Dhruv.

"Bhai, you can call him dad." replied Jenni.

"Oh, so you are brother-sister?" said our tube light Navya.

"Oh yes, and after our parents' divorce, I went to live with papa and he lived with ma. Bhai, how is mom? I really want to meet her." asked Jenni.

"Mr. Harshad?" said the doctor, and Harshad stepped forward and the doctor continued, "Ms. Aaliya is out of danger. But, we have to keep her under observation for two days. Sister will tell you about her condition. Mr. Harshad, can you do some formalities?"

"Ya..ya sure doctor. Just tell me." replied Harshad. For like first time in years I saw the old and honest Harshad. He left followed by the doctor and the nurse said, "She had a overdose of nothing but chocolate and the excess of cocoa powder got stuck to her oesophagus so it got choke and so she lost her consciousness because of incomplete digestive system."

"Oesopha what?" asked Navya.

The nurse was about to reply when Cabir said, "Ignore her. I'll explain that to her later."

Thank God that at least we have one sensible person.

So we got two good news, we met Jennifer, whom definitely was going to stay with us in Manglore and Aaliya got better.

But what troubled Aaliya? Ugh! Everything is so confusing.

"Bhai? Walk with me?" said Jennifer and both of them walked out. I am sure Jenni must have noticed the plastered tension on his face.

I walked out of that depressing corridor as I couldn't just stand there.

"Manik!" I heard Nandini call me. She came and we both walked silently to an empty plot of the hospital's ground.

We sat down under a tree and she said, "Manik, she's going to be okay. Okay?"

"Yes. You know Nandini, whenever I feel that now everything is going to be perfect, something or the other bad happens." I said.

I paused.

She didn't reply.

"Don't you have to say something?" I asked.

"Everything is going to be okay." she said.

"That's it?"

"Yes."

I turned my head towards the other side when Nandini said, "Manik?"

My eyes got lit up. I suddenly remembered the time when we both used to meet at the empty staircase and this same thing used to happen.

"You know what Manik? Life has plans for all of us. And if you are good from heart na, then you might face some ups and downs but you'll never face a problem. If you were bad or wrong, Aaliya would have been serious, but no, she is not. This is just a down not a problem. And if we are together, do we need to worry about any problem?" she said.

I noticed an automatic little smile on her face. How can she always be so positive? I love her every word.

She then held my arm and kept her face on my shoulder. Oh it feels like I am in heaven when she keeps her sweet little face on my shoulder.

I petted her and kept my hand on her waist. For like the first time ever, she didn't act like a romance spoiler and kept her hand on my lap.

She then lifted her head up and turned it towards me. Now we were looking in each other's eyes. She moved her face towards mine.

Is this really happening? Nandini Murthy is going to start that?

I too moved my face towards her. I closed my eyes and I was just about to kiss her when I felt something cold at my lips!

Huh?

It was a ice cube! From where does she gets such ideas!

"Nandini!" I exclaimed irritatedly!

"Manik...have this and feel chilled out." she said and giggled.

Oh I love her mischievous smile. She looks so cute in that.

We both sat there for about half an hour till we got a message that Aaliya got back to consciousness and we can go and meet her.
