Manik's P.O.V.
After glaring at Mukti and Jennifer (which didn't really have had an effect on the both girls), they finally stopped when Aaryaman entered the room all worried and said, "Guys! Aaliya is lying on the floor and is not responding!"
"What!?!" I said and we all fled to the place where Aaliya was lying. Harshad was already there. He was trying to wake her up.
"Back off Harshad!" shouted Cabir.
"What? Are you serious?" replied Harshad and continued to drop water on her face.
I and Cabir quickly went and picked her up with the help of Aaryaman and when Harshad was about to touch Aaliya, Mukti stopped him.
We took her to the hospital. She was admitted and we seven were waiting outside the operation theater as the doctor said that her pulse rate was falling and if we would have been an hour late, we would have lost her.
Soon, after fifteen minutes or so, we saw Mukti walking in our direction. Before she could say anything, we saw Harshad too running towards us.
Harshad's P.O.V.
Seeing my sister lying on the ground, I felt shivers throughout my body. Then I realised that how she would have felt when I left her and didn't talk to her for three months... Not listening to her voice for like only past three minutes killed me and she didn't hear from me for the past three months! I felt so ridiculous.
I saw Manik, Cabir, Mukti, Nandini, Aaryaman, Navya and Jennifer running in my direction. That didn't stop me from sprinkling water on her face when Manik, Cabir and Aaryaman picked her up in their arms and headed towards the door. I too wanted to help her... For God's sake she's my sister! But no, Mukti stopped me from even touching her. They all fled the place leaving me and Mukti behind.
"Harshad, why are you doing this?" she said.
"What? Mukti, she's my sister." I replied.
"And you think she still considers you as her brother?" she said.
These bitter words were true. Her words left me speechless. I turned towards the opposite direction to hide my face from Mukti. Many expressions - hatred, anger, defeat, worry, helplessness amd ridiculousness.
"Harshad, you know what is the problem with you? You never accept your fault or defeat. If that day you would have admitted that you cheated and didn't wanted a revenge, maybe all of this shit would have not happened. Maybe Aaliya would have considered you as her brother and Manik and you both would have been helping her." said Mukti.
I know that what she said is completely true but... I love her so much. I didn't reply.
"You know what Harshad? Goodbye. And stop pretending as if you really care for her. If you cared for her, you wouldn't have left her." she said.
That was it. I turned around and grabbed her arm. I pushed her against the pillar in that area, locking her in between me and the pillar.
"Harshad! What are you doing? It's hurting me?" she said. Good. She should be hurt. Her words cut me deeper than knife.
"You know what Mukti?" I said, " I am NOT pretending to care for her because I care for her."
"Once you said you cared for me and this is what you are doing to me, Harshad. I know how honest you are right now." she replied.
Hearing this, I got lost inside the dark and deep ocean of dull thoughts and faded memories about us together when she pushed me and ran towards the door.
Even I got inside the building from it's lawn and started my car engine and followed Mukti as they didn't tell me in which hospital was Aaliya in.
I parked my car in front of the A.I.M.S. Mangalore hopsital and rushed inside.
Everyone was waiting outside the operation theater. God keep her safe! I thought.
I stopped in front of Manik and asked, "How is Aaliya?"
"Really Harshad? You want to know how she is?" snapped Manik.
I rolled my eyes and said, "She is my sister."
"Harshad. Harshad. Harshad." Manik said in his typical tone, "You think she thinks of you as her brother?"
I wanted to smash him in his face but again, even he was saying the truth.
