JENNIFER'S P.O.V.
I and bhai just reached home where mom was inside the room sleeping. I decided not to disturb her and we both walked inside very slowly without making any noise. Bhai showed me a room where he had already kept my luggage and I hugged him.
It feels so nice to be near mom.
Bhai opened the room door to go out when he saw mom and shouted, "MOM! JENNY HIDE!".
I hid behind the bed when mom entered.
"Mom, why haven't you slept by now?" he asked.
"Oh, nothing. I just thought.... Hey, is someone with you... Like someone close to you and me... You know...just like that... Like for example", she laughed and continued, "Choti?"she said.
"Mom, I don't even remember how she looks." bhai defended.
"Yes, even I want to see her. I saw her last as a child when I and your dad sepa..." she said when bhai cut her words and said, "That man is not my dad."
"Um... But I feel like Choti is...oh. Never mind. Good night beta. You must go to your room now." she said.
Aw! Mom felt like I was here... I, her choti... I just want to go to hug her and say, "Mom, I'm home." but no, I can't.
"Ya, good night. I'd just go." bhai said and mom left.
"You can come out now." said bhai.
"Okay, but why didn't you let me meet her?" I asked.
"No, not like that. I want it to be a surprise for her." he said.
"Okay, bhai, look." I said and pulled out Nandini's phone.
"Is this Nandini's phone? What is it doing with you?" asked bhai.
"While everyone was busy preparing for Manik's surprise, she called Mukti from this and gave it to me by-mistake." I said.
"Oh, give it to me and I'll give it to her." he said.
"Ya sure." I was just about to hand it over to bhai when her phone rang and Mukti's number flashed on the screen.
"Hey Mukti..." I said when she said, "Our..our car met with an accident and we're at...at..at our way to the...the cliff and our car is... Abhi is badly injured..."
