She's Back

- Kalani's POV

While my aunt was getting her order, a worker approached me. He was about average height, kind of dark, fresh line up and cute teeth. " My best friend Erin would have loved him" I thought to myself. She loves dark boys.

" Uh hey... Um shorty" he said unsure of himself "Can I help you?"
Poor thing was nervous I'm not sure why though. He seems sweet but he still isn't my type.

" I think I found what I need but thank you. What's your name?" I asked smiling.
" I'm Derek" he replied, " I've never seen you here, plus I'd remember a beautiful girl like you if I did."
He was sweet but I didn't want to lead him on. I could get a discount though.
" You're so sweet" I said flipping my hair and smiling. " I'm just moving here to finish high school."
Derek seemed to get excited once I said that. " Really? I'm going to be a senior too. I go to Eastwood high, maybe you'll be going there. Let me check you out."

When we got to the counter he insisted on giving me his discount so I gave him my phone to give me his number. Not that I was going to text him but if I was going to that high school I would at least know one person.

As soon as I walked out the store, " What was that?" my aunt asked.
"It's called getting a discount Mel duh" I answered smirking. All we could do was laugh. She knew better to think I was going for a guy.

We went to a few more store and I caught a lot of sales. I got enough outfits to start school, for pride, and for my best friend's birthday.

"Aye Lani let's head out, I'm going to get Imani from the daycare early."
Imani is my little cousin. She looks up to me as if I was her own sister. I know she is going to be so excited to see me.

We headed into the city. "You'll be going to school out here, I'm just trying to see which one is a good one to attend" my aunt said.

*Phone Vibrates*
I look down at my phone to see my ex texted me. Oh, great she would text me.

* Tae: Hey you here yet?

*Me: Here where? And last time I checked you have a girlfriend remember.

*Tae: eh not really. But here in sf. I've been seeing your snapchats and I want to hang out.

I didn't reply. I hate that she lives here but what are odds that I'll run into her anytime soon.

We got to the daycare center and I walked in to see a familiar face.

" Hey Tracy omg" I say rushing to her hugging her.
Tracy is my aunts' childhood friend who works at the center. Her daughter and my little cousin are best friends.
"Kalani I'm so glad you made it safely. Welcome back boo. Does Imani know you are here yet?"
"No not yet" I said smiling.

Tracy went to the back to get Imani.
"Lani" I heard her scream as she ran to me.
"Hey baby girl" I said hugging her.
We walked out to the car and headed home.

- Tae's POV

I threw my phone on the bed. I know she got my message. She can't hate me forever. Yea I cheated on her almost half of our relationship but still, that girl was head over heels for me. I know she still loves me and I just have to get her back.

Well I'm Kalani's ex and I'm still the one she loves. She treated me better than any girl ever had, especially the gold-digging bitch I cheated on her with.

I'm a sophomore in college, I play ball, and I'm about 6'3. I'm a fems dream girl and I'm getting Kalani back.
"I'm heading out, I gotta get an outfit for pride. I'll be back before practice" I told my teammate and headed out my dorm.

I got on the train and texted my homie Derek. He is one of my teammates little brother but he is really cool. Plus, he works at both footlockers in the mall. I'm in men's size and shoes are hella expensive. Derek gets me good deals when he can.

*Me: Dee I need an outfit to go with my shoes I ordered. They should be in.

*Derek: Yea they are. I'll head over there now and have one of the girls get some ideas together for you.

*Me: Good looking out.

While I'm there I can see about getting Kalani something too.

I got off at my stop and head to the store. What would she like? I texted my teammate and she gave me a list of stores. I asked the workers to pick out some stuff and sent them to my teammate for help. I got a couple of outfits and headed to get my stuff.

"Aye yo Dee wassup?" I yelled walking in.
"Wassup dude. I got your stuff at the counter" he said.
"So ready to be a senior, and get all the females Mr. 3 years on both varsity football and basketball."
" Uh yea I guess" he said checking me out.

"I know you met at least someone that's caught your eye" I asked.
He started smiling, " Yes, a girl that came in earlier today. She just moved here she bad. I gave her my number and sealed the deal with my discount."

He sounded so confident. I just had to laugh at my lil dude.
"What's ol girl name" I asked.
He had a stupid ass look on his face.
"You didn't get her name? Wow dude you realized you just got played right?"
