Tae's POV

* The next day, Saturday *

"Hey Mel," I greeted as Mel and Imani walked into McDonald's.
"Tae" Imani happily ran to me. "I'm so happy we get to hang out. It's been a long time since we had an adventure together."

"Good grief kid you act like you don't get out and I have to work " Mel said jokingly.
We waved bye to Mel and went to the counter.

"The usual" I asked with a wink.
"Duh" she said with a grin.
"Alright, can I get a mighty kids chicken nugget meal with an Oreo mcflurry."

We got our food and took a seat.
"Well today I was thinking we go to the state fair. It's opening day" I said with enthusiasm.

" The fair really?! Yes it'll be fun. Remember when you took me, my friends and Kalani and how you got made because some guy beside us won a bear and gave it to her" she reminisced laughing. " You got really made remember that?"

I grinned seeing her light up from the memory.
"Yea I do. Do you remember when we you, Alissa and I were scared because we lost her sister Aliyah and Lani?"

She laughed and let out a snort.
"Yea and they were just on the swing ride."
We both laughed and she continued, " Even though Kalani isn't here I'm glad we get to hang out again."

Kalani's POV

* The next Monday *

"So what are you going since you and King haven't really talked all weekend?" Jasmine asked.
We were about to leave the house to go to school.
"I'm not sure Jas, I really don't."

I grabbed my bag, "Imani come on let's go."
My aunt had a doctors appointment so Jasmine offered to take Mani to school. Meaning we had to leave extra early.

She ran from the kitchen with her other poptart and ran out the door to the car.
I chuckled then locked the door behind us.

"How was your day with Tae Saturday" Jas asked Imani as we got in the car.
Imani immediately lite up at the question.
"It was great. The fair was so much fun and she won me a Golden State bear and Basketball. "

I thought about the time we went to the fair with Imani and her two friends. I couldn't help but smile.
"Uh um dream girl" Jas interrupted my thoughts, "what's got you smiling over there?"

"Nothing a girl can't smile" I said sarcastically.
"You right " she said "alright baby girl want us to walk you to the door" Jas asked as we pulled up to the school.
"That's for babies, I'll be fine. Bye Jas bye Lani" she said running up to the school.

*phone rings*

Kee was calling so Jas answered with the Bluetooth in the car.
"Where the hell are y'all at I'm starving?"

We both laughed.
"Chill ma" I answered, "we had to drop off mani remember."

Kee's POV

"Chill ma" Kalani answered, "we had to drop off mani remember."

Ugh Kalani called me ma. I have to admit I still might have a thing for her. She is so beautiful and sweet yet King has a side bitch.

"Um earth to Key" Jas interrupted my thoughts.

"Oh yea well hurry up then" I replied. I was seriously hungry.
"We'll be there soon love" Kalani said then hung up.

I finished getting dressed and started putting on some make up. Not much I don't like a caked face its unnecessary.
