Tae's POV

"Derek give me your phone I need to make a call."

I knew my number would be blocked but not his. We need to get this figured out as soon as possible.

"Hello"...
"Tae"...
"No it's about King"...
"I saw ok ..."

Jasmine's POV

" Um Jasmine you might want to answer"
Kee handed me my phone as I pulled into the gas station.
"Why is Derek calling?" I took my phone , got out the car, and walked into the store.

* Phone convo *

Me: Hey Derek wassup

Tae: Well it's actually..

Me: Tae?! Why are you...

Tae: I saw King with another girl

I got silent. So it was true King has been messing around.

Tae: Hello? Hello?

I was heated how could this happen again? When did King have the time to do this?

Me: *sigh* what did you see.

I lingered in the store while Lani pumped the gas and Tae told me what she saw.

Me: Wow text my phone I have to get out the store before they get suspicious. We need to figure this out.

I bought some candy, paid for my gas and got in the car.

**later at Kalani's house**

"Baby girl baby girl" King said walking into the kitchen where we were chilling at the bar.

She wrapped her arms around my best friend and I turned red. How can she go from sneaking off with a bitch at the game to now being on my best friend?
"Uhh Jasmine" Kee nudged me,
"Why don't we go to the bathroom and take this makeup off."

Key knew I was mad I started to answer but the door bell interrupted me. Kee and I looked dead at each other, we knew who it was.
"We got it" I said grabbing Kee's hand and heading to the door.

I opened the door slightly.
I whispered, "Try to be quite, King and Lani are in the kitchen."
Then I opened it completely.

King's POV

*FLASHBACK- At the football game hours before*

I rushed to the concession stand to meet her.
"Hey wassup" I said hugging her.
"What took you so long?"
"Look I already told you what's up and I'm in a bad place with you and her" I looked down in guilt.

I knew this would hurt Kalani but I couldn't help it. She is an amazing girl but the girl standing in front of me just I'm not sure.
"Well make it easy come on" she said pulling me away from the crowd.

"I don't know shorty, you know I'm talking to someone and this would crush her."
I can't believe what I'm doing. Maybe I'm not ready for a relationship. Plus, the fact my back up plan is the military I can't do that to Kalani, always moving or being deployed.

She kissed me on the lips breaking me from my thoughts.
"So what happens if she finds out about us?" she asked wrapping her arms around me looking in my eyes.

"She won't" I said smirking, which made her laugh.
This wasn't in her favor though but for Kalani's protection. I'll do my best to protect her heart that's my baby girl.

I doubt once this breaks surface that she will believe that I did try to look out for her. Hell I messed with a girl period. Lani was right, chilling with a new crew wasn't so good and the were a bad influence. Always getting me drunk and one night I got drunk and kissed shorty right here. Now I'm mixed up in a mess when baby girl told me to chill being with the crew.
