Daddy Issues Pt. 2

King's POV

Flashback

How did this bitch get in here I thought? I was heated and made my way over to them.
Alex grabbed Kalani taking her away and I approached Tae.

"Fuck you doing here huh" I said pushing her.
"Better back the fuck and off before you get your ass beat again" she walked away. Ugh. I punched the wall and walked away as everyone watched.
I grabbed some drinks. I needed to cool off and quick. Glancing at the mirror on the wall I noticed bruises forming on my face.

"Hey," I heard from behind. "Yo, what the was that" Tierra grabbed my arm turning me around.
"Get off me" I said backing up. "You knew what this was man, you knew what you signed up for shawty. That's my girl you just put your hands on."

"You act like you care about the bitch. If you did you would've never started fucking with me" she said turning to walk away.
I grabbed her by her hair and pulled her to me.
"You were a mistake" I whispered in her ear. "This is done you hear me" I finished and pushed her away.

I grabbed a couple more drinks a chugged then down.
I headed outside to get some air to see Tae leaving. My blood began to boil, and I couldn't help myself
"Aye" I called out to her. Tae and Derek turned to me.

"You come here got my girl fighting and you leave. Nah" I said as I approached them.

"From the looks of it she's not your girl. She tapped that ass pretty bad" she said pointing out the bruises on my face. Her and Derek began chuckling.

"Man fuck you" I took a swing at her, but I stumbled and missed.
She pushed me on the ground, and we started fighting.

Sirens started going off in the distance.
"Oh shit", "Time to go" people were running out the party. I didn't care I kept swinging.
"Yo Bro let's go," Derek said, and Tae was lifted off me.

"King, King get up," my teammates grabbed me, and we took off.
"Yo I got it all on my phone" one of them said.

Flashback Over

King's POV

* Buzz Buzz *

My phone was going off but the way my head was hurting, whatever it was it could wait.
" Yo, get up get up. Come on" our teammate said in a panic.
I looked up to see her rushing and getting everyone up.
"Dang," one of the freshmen said looking at her phone. "Coach is calling a practice and we have to be there by 8."
"Exactly now get up."
I looked at my phone and it read 7:13 am. Fuck I thought to myself.
We all picked up the pace so we could head out to the school.

Everyone got in the cars and as soon as we hit the main road traffic was already backed up. You could hear sirens and flashing lights. So instead we went around and tried to go as fast as we could.

As soon as we got to school, we ran to the gym. We bust through the gym doors. Coach blew her whistle and we all groaned except a couple of us. "8:03 ladies, you're all late. And either you all are sick or have hangovers. So, you can start with 3 laps and suicides until I say stop" coach demanded.
We exchanged glances at each other with fear in our eyes. We were in deep shit.

Kalani's POV

All I could do was pace back and forth thinking of how to fix this. I left home to get a fresh start, but my life has been filled with plot twist like some soap opera on tv.

"KALANI" Kee yelled breaking me from my thoughts.
"What" I responded with them all looking at me.
"Well what's the plan" Alex spoke up. "I mean a whole video of Tae and King going at it not to mention showing high schoolers at a party and eventually they will find alcohol an oh jeez" Alex took a deep breath of panic and sat down.

"It's not that bad. Me and Kalani have connections right" Tae said glancing at me.
"Let's not take it that far unless it has to go there" I said knowing the connections she was referring too.

"Your aunt" Derek jumped up.
"True she's a cop she'll know what to do. Plus, my coach is scouting King for USF. The only scout looking at her and the season hasn't started yet."
Tae and Derek basically had a plan.

*Buzz Buzz*

My aunt was calling. I ask everyone to quiet down while I speak with her.

Mel: Hey kid get your friends together we're going out

Me: Wait, so I'm off punishment?! What's the catch?

Mel: Damn Gina, can I not do something nice shit. Plus, it's been rough dealing with your lil high school drama shit. I'm trying to let loose. We will discuss the rest later.

Me: Okay bet thank you so much!


I hung up the phone in excitement. I told everyone what my aunt said and even called Bree and Lena and invited them along as well since they helped me out last night.

Kee's POV

We were all excited to be going out. We surely needed a break and I always here about the many adventures the three amigos (Jas, Alex, and Lani) went on with Mel and sometimes Lani's uncles.

"Shot gun" Alex yelled running to the car. "Bree called it already slow one better ride with Tae unless you want to be with all us girls" Jasmine said and stuck out her tongue. Climbing in the back Bree asked where the Aux was and then started playing music as we took off.

"Damn Gina I see you invited the whole school" Mel said as we all laughed and rushed in the house.
"MANI" Kalani yelled as the rest of us headed to the game room.
"Her and Teresa went to get some more stuff for the barbeque. We'll have that for lunch then leave for Dave and Busters around 6:30 ish 7 tell ya lil friends."

Kalani rolled her eyes playfully and headed upstairs so I followed.
"Wait" I said grabbing her hips as she was approaching her bedroom door.
She grabbed my hand as she opened the door, lead us in, spun me around to face her and closed the door behind us.

"Hey baby girl" she said and kissed my forehead. "I have to change love I'll have time with you later." Of course, I was upset so I pouted and she kissed me deeply and told me to have a seat so she could change.

As Kalani finished getting dressed Imani was downstairs yelling for her. It was cute their bond. Kalani didn't grow up with any of her siblings and Imani is the only child so it's like they finally get a sibling.

We headed downstairs and we were nearly tackled by Imani hugging us.
"Chill you act like you never seen her" Teresa scuffed while headed towards the kitchen.
"I'm so excited you have a surprise" Imani said as Kalani looked at her with a confused glance.

"Hey baby" a man walked around the corner.
I've never seen her look so mad and hurt at the same time before.
