My eyes flicker open and the blinding light above forces them shut again. The air numbs my nose and my ribs throb constantly. I look up and see Rhydian's peaceful sleeping face snoring quietly, I have to blink twice before believing that he is actually here with me. An unknown smile plays it's way on to my face and all the pain and sadness I was feeling is shoved to the back of my mind. He shivers in his sleep and i nudge him slightly whispering his name

"Rhydian"

His eyes flicker so i whisper again

"Rhydian"

This time his eyes snap open and he lets out a huge yawn, when he see's me awake Rhydian smiles

"Thank god, i thought i would have to haul your frozen butt out of here"

The pain from my ribs flares up almost as if reminding me, i wince and look back up at him

"You still might have to"

I hear footsteps and crumbling of ice above so Rhydian and I look up to see Jana sticking her head into the crevice.

"You ice cubes alright down there??"

Rhydian smirks and yells back

"Yeah i think we are fine but get us the hell out of here my ass is freezing"

I giggle and Rhydian stands, pulling me gently up with him. A rope is tossed down and Rhydian forms a loop before sitting on it and waving me over to sit on his lap. I take a small step and almost scream out in pain before falling to my knees clutching my ribs. Rhydian leaps out of the makeshift harness and to my side. He picks me up bridal style, only just fitting in the tight crevice and sits in the harness with me on his lap. I hear Jana yell for everyone to start pulling and slowly we are edged up and in to the light.
