I watched the trees sway outside my window and wonder if Maddy is out in the forest somewhere thinking about me. But that must be too much to ask for, why would she be thinking about me she probably found a strapping member of the pack who unlike me can hunt. I can't help but think about her, what did that kiss mean? Did she only kiss me because she was never going to see me again? I know what that kiss mean't to me, it was a promise, a promise that i would find her one day. The hole in my heart can only be fixed by being able to see her again, hearing her laugh and seeing her smile. I hear a knock at the door yet i don't answer knowing it's either Shan, Tom or my foster mum. Soon the person is thumping the door loudly and i start to get annoyed.

"Stop the damn racket i will come out when i am ready!!!!!!"

"Rhydian come out now you have locked yourself in there for 4 months only coming out to take a dump, so if you don't come out i am going to knock that damn door down and drag you out!!!" Shannon's voice yells loudly.

I never knew Shan could be this vicious.

"I am serious Rhydian get out now and stop moping about, 3,2..."

"Alright i'm coming just don't break my door"

I open my door to see a very angry Shannon glaring at me.

"Rhydian Morris!! Do you think Maddy would want you locking yourself in your room forever and wasting your life? Well i know she wouldn't so get your but down these stairs and eat breakfast with the Vaughens"

I go to walk back into my room but Shannon grabs my ear and pulls me down the stairs.

"Ow ow ow Shan stop" i whine

"No you are going to go eat like a normal person not a zombie"

As i enter the kitchen the Vaughens are seated around the dining table eating bacon and eggs. They all look up at the scene Shannon is making and laugh.

"Well Shannon you've actually done it. He has been in his room for ages and we though he was a ghost" Mrs Vaughan laughs

She comes over and gives me a hug.

"Please stop locking yourself away it's not healthy and it's scaring the hell out of me and your father"

Mr Vaughen then gets up and claps me on the shoulder

"It's good to have you in the land of the living again son"

"Yeah i suppose. Hey guys i'm not really hungry can i just go out for a walk in the woods, you know just to clear my head???"

"Yeah sure anything to keep you out of your room" Mr Vaughen mumbles

Mrs Vaughen offers Shannon some breakfast and she readily accepts as i walk out the door.
