Rhydian

Chris' face goes pale and i am dumbstruck staring at it not being able to move. I just killed a man. I just killed someone. My hands start to shake and my bottom lip trembles in fear of myself. I bring myself to stand and i start to clear the ice and packed snow off Chris' body the task takes a good 30 minutes but i push through the pain and despair to get his body out and throw him over my shoulder. The winding tunnel is long and steep but finally I reach a wall of ice, I could see the light shining through the ice so it couldn't be too thick. I put down Chris' body and take a few steps back, my back aches in protest but I ignore it. I run forward and smash my shoulder into the ice wall. It comes crumbling down and I go flying out through it and land with a grunt on the packed snow. As soon as I open my eyes I see Jana and Maddy standing not to far away looking in the small gap found earlier but when they hear the ice cracking they turn and run in my direction. I lay on my back and stare into the blue sky watching the clouds float aimlessly by as I hear Maddy yelling me name and begging me to say something. But I don't, I just stare into the sky, wishing my troubles away and before long darkness consumes me.
