MADDY
I watched him run through the thick snow the wind holding him back slightly, I glance over to Jana and see her worried face staring back at me and Chris. My heart beats fast and before I know what I am doing I start to catch up to Rhydian calling his name desperately. He doesn't look back, he keeps his head down and keeps running, so I speed up and grab his arm forcing him to a stop I don't realize how fast we were both going and we tumble to the ground. Rhydian huffs angrily and turns to me rage clear.
"What the hell are you doing Maddy"
"I don't want you to go"
"Well you already seem to have replaced me what do you care, you have moved on"
Rhydian turns around not being able to face me. Tears burn behind my eyes and I ball my fists up
"I never moved on"
He turns around a single tear runs down his face and he looks like his whole world has just come down around him.
"What?"
"I never moved on Rhydian"
"Well you seem to have"
I scoff and point behind me
"Do you really think I love him like I love you?"
"Well I got replaced pretty fast"
I shake my head
"Never replaced, never"
Rhydian smirks slightly. Then kicks dirt
"You know Maddy, I never stopped thinking about you"
"Why??"
"Why do you think? The way we left things opened so many doors and provided so many more questions, should I have gone with you, what could have we been, what could we be?"
I felt a small smile play across my face
"What could we be??"
Rhydian's grin lights up my day and he takes my face in his hands gently leaning in. When our lips connect I feel as though I should have been with him the whole time. Rhydian breaks the kiss and pecks my forehead then takes my hands in his large ones.
"We have plenty of time to find out"
