Chapter 19 -

- - - - -

"Umm... Minyoung?" Kai asked getting serious and concern all of a sudden.

"Wae?" I asked shocked at his sudden change of expression.

Is he perhaps bipolar? What's with the change of attitude all of a sudden?

Now that my first morning class, was finally over, along with Kai's since we both coincidently took the same class, which was 'problem-solving' together. We decided to get lunch together and prepare for our afternoon class which we unfortunately didn't have alike.

We decided to just eat fast food and be un-healthy. While we eating we were just joking around and talking about our ship for the SpartAce couple instead the Monday Couple that was on Running Man.

We were all laughing and joking around not being serious at all but then he just changes the mood all of a sudden and be serious and stiff.

"Wae?" I asked furrowing my eyebrows together. "Is there something wrong?" I asked in question.

"Um no..." He lies to me. "Just don't look behind you." Kai said cautiously.

You know when he says that, it just raises my curiosity and makes me want to look behind me.

So that was what I did but I did it unconsciously, my head had tilted and slightly turned around to look behind me but Kai's hand were quick. He placed one of his hand on my left cheek followed by the other hand on my right cheek, making me face only him.

"Wae~?" I said in a whiny tone dying of curiosity. "Is there something behind me?" I asked confused.

"Err..." He contemplated what to say but just decided to say. "Just don't look." Kai said too vaguely for my liking.

"Kai, let go." I said indicating to his hands that were still cupping my face. "You said there was nothing wrong so why can't I look back behind me?" I questioned him in a bit of a harsh tone.

"I just don't want you to get hurt." He said quietly and slowly letting go of my face.

"It's okay. People are bound to get hurt whether they like it or not. I rather get hurt then not know." I said.

"When you say that, it just makes me want to protect you even more." He said.

"Wah~!" I emphasized. "Shouldn't I be the one protecting my dongsaeng? You're acting like an oppa!"

"Do you like oppas more?"

"As in a lover?"

Kai nodded.

"Honestly, yes! I want someone that is older than me. I don't want to get wrinkles while my hubby still looks like a baby." I said honestly.

"Then just think of me as your oppa from now on."

How do I do that? I thought but was interrupted when I heard laughter behind me. A feminine and a masculine laugh.

A familiar masculine laugh.

I turned around to see none other than Baekhyun along with that dyed blonde girl. Was it Dahye?

It was no surprise, really. I mean why would Kai act that way, if it wasn't for Baekhyun.

They were laughing really loud while holding onto each other. Laughing strong and for an exaggerated time that it almost seemed that they were fake laughing.

They stopped laughing and looked towards us.

What they did next. Oh, I wasn't expecting this.

Why did we get a table with 4 seats again?

I mean there are plenty of 2 seats in this restaurant.

Dahye had casually slipped onto the chair next to Kai while Baekhyun plopped himself down right beside me making my body go all stiff and timid.

I saw Kai blinked surprise to the situation. "Erm..." I heard him mumble.

"Hi guys!" Dahye interrupting him sounding kinda fake.

"Err hi." Kai said awkwardly.

"Mind if we sit here?" Baekhyun asked making my toe scrunch up hearing his voice so close.

I pursed my lips together making a straight line. Go sit somewhere else! There is a plenty-load of empty seats! And of course I didn't have the guts to say that.

Kai being the nice lad he is, said, "oh sure."

Dam it! This is so uncomfortable! Why do I feel like Baekhyun is scooting closer towards me?

"Well hello! My name is Jung Dahye!" The fake blonde greeted me.

"Err." I said shocked since she was talking to me. Well of course she is talking to me. Who else? She knows Kai and she practically shoved her tongue down Baekhyun's throat. "Um annyeonghaseyo, Minyoung-imida." I said rather softly.

"Heh. No need to be so formal. You're older than me by a year."

And how would you know that? "Aniyo. It's comfortable talking formal."

"Suit yourself." Dahye said a bit disrespectfully.

Well, I don't like her already.

"So hi I'm Bakehyun." Baekhyun said bringing his hand out to Kai gesturing towards him to shake it.

Kai simply didn't shake his hand and said, "I'm Kai."

Baekhyun then awkwardly brought his hand back behind his nape. Baekhyun gave him a fake smile and said, "I think I've seen you before."

"Well no shit." Kai said sarcastically. "We live across from each other."

"Oh yeah." Baekhyun said a bit pathetically.

I had my head down the whole time to scared to meet any of their eyes besides Kai. I could feel Baekhyun sometime looking down at me.

"So Kai? You live together with Minyoung?"  Dahye asked.

Kai nodded.

"Why?" Baekhyun asked making my heart race.

"Because we're roommates." Kai said the obvious. Well he sure doesn't like Baekhyun...

"Oh of course." Baekhyun said.

There was an awkward silent that followed but Dahye quickly awakened it.

"Minyoung why is your head down? Why aren't you looking up?" Dahye asked exposing me.

"Oh? Am I?" I asked and then forcefully bringing my head up to look at her fully makeuped face.

"So... You and Kai? Are you guys, dating?" Dahye asked me.

I instantly and frantically shook my head and from the corner of my eyes, I saw Baekhyun slightly smile.

"Really?" Dahye asked pushing it further. "Then why were you guys kissing?" Dahye asked making me cringe my toes.

Dam! She saw. Aish, think of an excuse.

"We were drunk." Kai said helping me. I love you Kai T^T!

"Oh? Is that it?" Dahye said.

Already can tell that we were going to become enemies by her snobby personality.

"Yep that's it. How bout you guys? Dating?" Kai asked. I wanted to know too.

Dahye smiled. "Heh! Yes, we are actually."
