Betrayal

Chapter One

"Umh.." I scretched out in the king sized bed, clenching at the sheets and waking up to the beautiful eyes of my husband of four years.

"Good morning baby." He said as I smiled.

"This is the second time Ive woken up to you watching me sleep Shawn."

"I cant help it. I just love the sight of you."

"Awe babe."

"..but Im also hungry."

"I knew it was a catch." I said as I got up to tend to my morning rituals.

I walked out the bathroom and headed to the kitchen to cook breakfast.

"Anything in paticular you would like baby?" I asked Shawn who was sitting in the living room.

"Anything.. just add bacon." He answered.

"I know that much." I said as I grabbed the ingredients out the fridge.

"So whats on the list for today?" He asked.

"I have to meet with a co-worker for a house viewing."

"Is that the same house you been on for about a month now?"

"Yeah. The Paces Ferry Mansion is a hard sell. Ive been advertising that house like crazy." I said as I flipped the half done pancakes.

I looked back at Shawn and watched him walk into the kitchen to sit at the table.

"Its aight. Just dont give up babe. Its gone sell." Shawn encouraged.

"I love it when you give me pep talks." I said directing my attention back to the food.

"Im always here for you baby. I love seeing you accomplish your goals."

"Even though walking through mansion all day is amazing. I wouldnt want to do it if I didnt have you here to support me."

He smiled.

"I dont believe that.. you like the finer things."

"And what is that suppose to mean?"

"I cant afford a mansion baby."

"I know that."

"So you mean to tell me you wouldnt trade me in for a big ass mansion worth a milli?"

I took the pancakes out of the pan before I answered. I walked over to him and look him straight in the eyes.

"What good is having a luxury life style without having the love of your life to share it with? Baby I would turn down ten mansions, a yacht and a private island if it came down to it. I dont want nothing at all if I aint got you." I said as I laid a soft kiss on his lips.

"Why you so sweet to me?" He asked.

"Because I love you."

"I love you too babe but you know what?"

"What?"

"I think Id cop that yacht doe." He said as he laughed.

I gave him a side eye.

"You know Im just playing."

"You probably would though. You aint playing."

"I would love to give you a mansion baby. Hell Id give you the world if I could. But right now this condo is all I can give."

I placed his plate of pancakes, eggs and bacon in front of him.

"And the condo is not bad." I said as I sat down across from him at the table. "but dont you think we should look for a bigger place."

"Bigger place for what?"

"Just think about it. Extra room for an office and maybe even a gym."

"I do love a good gym.."

"I found the perfect highrise apartment across town.."

"Tell you what. We can go look at it and then we'll go from there."

"Aight. So whats going on with you today?"

"Im training with Porsha Williams today."

"Foreal! I freaking love her."

"I know. Im also meeting with her for a business venture."

"What is it like a gym or training company?"

"Something like that. We're still in the beginning process but I'll keep you updated."

"Okay."

Shawn and I continued to chat over breakfast. When we finished, we went to shower and get dressed for our busy day.

I threw on a nice pants set as I got ready to head out and Shawn dressed in his casual attire.

As we finished getting dressed, we heard a knock on the door.

"Who is it?" I asked as I jogged to the front door.

"Its me girl, open up."

I instantly knew it was my bestfriend and opened the door.
