"When exactly are we leaving for the engagement?", I asked yoongi walking inside the nearly vacant building.

"12 P.M sharp, sir. Mr Park strictly instructed me about being punctual. 'No casualties needed.', he suggested.", yoongi explained making me huff.

About to walk past the reception desk my eyes fell on yn, who immediately stood up finding my presence.

"Good morning, sir.", she stepped forward to greet. "You asked me to be early? Is there anything specific you wanted to discuss?"

I hummed, before gesturing yoongi to leave.

Yoongi left while I stalked closer to her until we were only one step apart.

I scrutinized my gaze at her, but she didn't waver, daringly looking back.

Looking into her eyes I tried my best to seek the truth in them. But all I could see was someone innocent who couldn't even hurt a fly, let alone a grown ass human.

An entire week, and all I did was find ways to confront yn about those accusations. I tried and tried again, but felt embarrassed of investigating her.

I've witnessed her character from afar and I've witnessed her as someone with strong values and morale. Someone who wouldn't be friends with a senior just for work benefits. Someone who wouldn't giggle with her colleagues in order to keep the hopes low. And someone who wouldn't even take a ride from their boss just to maintain that professional distance. Then why would she ever be involved in such a heinous crime?

Yet again, after thinking it through I realized how all this time I've only judged her from a distance which means that all my assumptions about her could be merely my delusion.

So now it's finally time for me to know her from a little closer.

Not just for the validity of her character, but for the sake of my own sanity.
