Erik walked into his room, he untied the bow tie he was wearing and took off his jacket.
"Well doesn't that sight seem all too familiar?"
Erik spun around, only to see Christine, lying on his bed, "Christine. How did you get down here?"
"I had a little help." Christine replied.
"You're a day early." Erik muttered.
Christine stood, "I know. I'm just full of surprises aren't I." she slowly wrapped her arms around his neck and laid her head on his chest.
"Why are you here?" Erik asked.
"Does there need to be a reason?" Christine asked quietly.
"No, I guess not." Erik said.
"Good." Christine moved her arms down around his waist and pulled him close, she backed them both onto his bed and laughed quietly.
Erik looked at Christine and decided to take control of the moment, he slowly moved on top of her and pinned her to the bed.
"What are you doing, Erik?" Christine raised an eyebrow.
"I have a few questions." Erik muttered, "Okay?"
"All right." Christine looked at him.
Erik let go and rested his arms on each side of her to hold himself up, "Let's play a game."
"What game?" Christine asked.
"Three questions. You first." Erik mumbled.
"Okay." Christine muttered, she looked at him, "Can I wear your mask?"
"No." Erik glared at her.
"Ouch. okay, your turn."
"Do you love Raoul?" Erik asked.
Christine looked at him, "Really Erik? Okay, I um..." she paused, "I can't ever say I didn't love him... because I'd be lying... I just feel like we're growing apart now..."
"You're turn." Erik muttered.
"Was I your first?" Christine frowned.
"Do I have to answer?" Erik asked.
"Yes."
"You were." Erik answered.
"You're turn..."
Erik looked into her eyes, "Am I Gustave's father?"
Christine looked at him, "W-What?"
"You heard me." Erik said sternly, but quietly, "I just want the truth."
Christine looked away from him, "If I tell you the truth..." her voiced started breaking.
"I'm not going anywhere." Erik assured.
"He's your son." Christine mumbled, a few tears fell down her cheeks.
Erik sighed a shaky sigh, trying to keep his feelings and emotions bottled up, "Why didn't you tell me. Why didn't you come find me. Why didn't you let me help you at all. Why didn't you tell him..."
"Because he knows, Erik." Christine cried quietly, "Meg told him something about his real father and he knew it wasn't Raoul. Listen, I know he's met you. I'm not stupid, okay? He talks about you. What am I supposed to say when my baby runs up to me and says 'Mommy, I met a masked man', when I know exactly, I know exactly who it is..."
Erik watched her as she cried, for once, he didn't know what to say to her.
Christine closed her eyes tightly, "I'm so sorry... As soon as he was born I knew he wasn't Raoul's, and you left. I was scared, I'm so sorry..."
Erik held both of Christine's arms, he leaned down and kissed her with some force, he moved off of Christine and stood, "It's your turn." he looked at the ground and leaned against the wall.
Christine laid there, not knowing what to do, she looked over at him and frowned, "Do you still love me."
Erik looked at her and weakly smiled, "Always." he replied.
Christine looked at the ground, "You have the last question..."
"What was the real reason you came here?" Erik sat next to her and tipped her chin up so she'd look at him.
"Raoul's... having sex with our maid, Annette." Christine muttered.
"He's cheating?" Erik frowned.
"Yeah, I mean, I guess it's okay, I did too... but once... he's probably did it in our bed... where I sleep."
"So, you're here, because-"
"I'm here, because, I love you. I should have married you and not him and we'd have been happy and I wouldn't be in this big mess and you, Erik. Don't pretend like you're not mad at me. I know you want to gut me like a fish on the inside." Christine started to cry again.
"Don't cry... please don't cry..." Erik frowned.
Christine looked at Erik, "I do love you."
"And I love you. Very much."
Christine smiled sadly and looked at him as he laid her back on the bed, "I know why you came here." Erik said quietly and kissed her cheek, then her lips
