When we reach the entryway Clary and Isabelle are arguing and Simon is sitting at the base of the stairs watching. Seeing as it might take a little while for this argument to end, Alec and I sit down beside Simon.
"What are they arguing about?" Alec asks.
"Jace." Simon states.
"Me?" I ask confused.
"You. For the past ten minutes." Simon says.
The girls finally notice that the three of us are even here, and they quietly come to an agreement. They both nod as they come over to us. Isabelle runs her hand through her hair and says, "Sorry about that... Um... yeah, well let's get going since Clary and I are the only ones who know the way."
The three of us stand and follow the girls out. After a few minutes of walking they start whispering and laughing at stuff the other had said. Luckily it was usually pretty easy for parabatai to get over a fight, even a sizable one such as theirs.
Soon we come to a club that has a blue moon and wolf as its symbol, but no words. The girls stop at the bouncer, flash their runes and the five of us walk inside.
We stay close to Clary and Isabelle as they immediately head for a bar. Clary says something to the bartender and she glances at me. She shrugs her shoulders and nods her head. They both laugh as Isabelle scans the room.
"Uh... explain what we need to do." Alec says watching the girls.
"Relax, sit down, and drink. Only here at Natalia's bar though. There are a total of four bars here. Natalia serves mundanes, lyncanthrops, warlocks, and shadowhunters. Demeton serves anyone and everything, you can never be sure what he gives you to drink. The one over there in the far corner is mundanes only, Shery will make you change bars. Lea serves demons, fey, and vamps, Lea is an ifrate. Only drink from Natalia, and you will be fine. Try drinkng from the other three and you are in for a sucky night." Isabelle says as the bartender named Natalia sets a bottle of scotch and a bottle of Smirnoff on the bar.
"I'm told you guys like playing the game of Scotch Vodka. The alcohol in this is diluted by about ninety percent specially made by yours truly for lyncanthrops and shadowhunters incase the lyncanthrops have patrol that night or the shadowhunter hasn't finished the hunt and needs to kill time." Natalia says as I sit down in front of her. Then she adds quietly, "So I'm told you might be looking for someone to kill time with."
I glance at Clary and then back at Natalia and say, "Yeah, but she's not interested. I broke her heart which is why she is the cold hearted badass you know."
Natalia laughs and says, "Sounds about right, but don't forget idiotic. Very idiotic."
I glance back over in Clary's direction, but she's gone. I stand up and frantically search the club for her.
"Isabelle, where'd..." I say walking over to where Isabelle is watching something.
"She's fine, she doesn't drink and neither do I which means we get to the hunt faster than most shadowhunters who come here. She's doing her job, I'm her back up." Isabelle says following something on the dance floor. I follow her line of sight and see Clary moving through the dance floor. Following several demons. Clary waves her hand at them causing Isabelle to say, "That's our cue. Alec, Simon, come on. Clary has nine demons spotted in a group. Elidon. Surround them, and dispatch when you see a seraph blade wave in the air."
We nod and spread out, coming in from different angles. I stay a few feet back and see Clary wave a seraph blade in the air. I attack...

Clary's POV
---
Ten minutes later
---

After I put my seraph blade away I walk over to where the other four are waiting on me at Natalia's bar. Jace and Natalia are talking amongst themselves while Isabelle, Simon, and Alec talk about the Blue Moon itself. I lean against Natalia's bar, and listen in on Jace and Natalia's conversation. Unexpectedly it is about me.
"Yeah, I messed up big time. I don't know what was running through my head when I kissed Adele." Jace says.
Natalia replies, "Sounds to me like what I've seen lyncanthrops do before. They have a mate, but after a while the spark of love changes to a fire of affection. It's better, not as wild and reckless. It's more mature. The lycanthrop doesn't like the pure affection, he wants wild and reckless back. It's always the males who do it. They start taking risks in the relationship and eventually break what they have to pieces. I've seen lyncanthrops just like Clary come in and drink themselves under. The bad thing is the ones who cause the pain are never able to see it until it's too late. When they come looking for their girl, she's gone, replaced by a heartless woman who no longer cares. It's hard to wake her up again, even if you do something so romantic that other women would be balling their eyes out and going weak in the knees at it. You can easily wake up rage, arrogance, stupidity, any emotion that has to do with being a heartless badass deadly woman, but to wake up her heart is not an easy feat to do."
"Sounds like you know how that feels." Jace says.
"I do. Let me tell you, Herondale, don't wake up her mind all the bad memories are there. Wake up her heart, that's where all the love has went." Natalia tells him.
"How?" Jace asks simply.
"I don't know. No one has ever done that for me. I never came up. All I can say is start from the beginning." Natalia tells him.
Suddenly a hand grips my waist, and Jace whispers in my ear, "Wanna dance, mundane?"
Without me giving an answer he pulls me away from the bar and on to the dance floor as they start playing a slow song. His hand slips around my waist, and he pulls me against him.
"I don't dance much." I say looking up at him. The anger had left his eyes the familiar glint of pure love was in his eyes again.
"I do. Jonathan Christopher Smith, my friends call me Jace." Jace says spinning us around.
"Clarissa Fray, my friends call me Clary." I say as a small smile tugs at the corners of my mouth.
"Well, Clary Fray, for a girl who doesn't dance much you are waltzing away with my heart." Jace says looking in to my eyes.
"I could say the same for you, Jace Smith." I say leaning my head against his chest.
"Do you live close by?" Jace asks as another slow song most likely requested by Natalia comes on.
"Yes, Brooklyn." I say as I wrap my arms around Jace's neck and his hands wrap around my waist.
"I am just visiting from the country side." Jace says resting his cheek on me.
"Then it might not be a good idea to keep dancing, now would it? We don't need to fall in love with someone who lives so far away." I say pulling away slightly to look up in to Jace's golden eyes.
"Might be a little late for that don't you think?" He asks cupping my face in his hand.
"I do." I say as he leans down and kisses my cheek.
The song ends, and he pulls away saying, "I need to go find my friends. Meet me here tomorrow night."
I nod my head, and he melts in to the crowd just as he had the first time. I see him walk over to a smiling Alec and a curious Isabelle. I watch as Jace points to me, and Simon makes his way over to me.
When he reaches me he says, "Let's go home, it's getting late, Fray. I think your mom will be surprised to find you just danced with a stranger and let him kiss you."
I smile a real smile and say, "That wasn't a stranger, that was Jonathan Christopher Smith."
"Yeah yeah, I think you are loopy. Come on." Simon says pulling me to the entrance of the Blue Moon.
As soon as we step outside the feelings of the past are swept away by the smell of the River Thames. I shiver as I feel the emotions sinking back below the ice cold surface of myself.
"Come on. Back to the Institute." I say pulling the collar of my jacket up and start walking towards the Institute.
"What about the others?" Simon asks catching up to me.
"They are right behind us watch. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1... Hey Isabelle, Alec. Jace is ahead of us, right?" I ask looking at Isabelle and Alec as they come up beside me.
"Damn your senses are good, and yes. He took a short cut and went ahead of us." Alec says.
"So... how was it talking to the old Jonathan Christopher Smith?" Isabelle asks looking at me.
"Felt good, felt like I was waking up, but it's gone. As soon as I stepped out of the door the River Thames brought me back to reality." I say shrugging my shoulders.
"I could tell you were enjoying your past. You were smiling, for real." Isabelle says slinging an arm over my shoulders.
I laugh and say, "The happy past can make for a bitter present. Which is why I don't revel in my past memories of him."
"Which is good, but bad." Alec says as we reach the Institute gates.
Alec holds them open and we walk through. We reach the doors and before any of us can put our hand to the door it opens. Jace is standing there in the doorway holding the door open.
We walk in and Jace shuts the door. I drop back behind Alec, Isabelle, and Simon and walk side-by-side with Jace.
"Thank you." Jace says out of no where.
"For what?" I ask glancing at him as we climb the stairs to the third floor.
"For letting me start from the beginning." Jace says grazing his hand against mine.
"I'm afraid that I can't let it keep replaying though. I couldn't bare to reach the end of the story again." I say pulling my hand away from his, but not leaving his side.
"This time there won't be an end to reach." Jace says taking my hand in his.
We walk down the corridor to everyone's rooms, and reach mine.
"Well, Mr. Smith, thank you for spending your last night with me at the Pandemonium. I hope we meet again." I say kissing Jace's cheek.
"Me too, Clary, me too." He says before Alec and he walk down stairs to their room.
"Come on, Clary." Isabelle says pulling me from the haze.
"Yeah." I say shaking my head and walking in to my room followed by Simon and Izzy.
"Well, now, it's girl time. Simon go to our room. I'm staying in Clary's room tonight." Isabelle says.
Simon smiles and does as he's told. Isabelle shucks off her gear pulling on her pajamas she had in my room and sits down as I do the same. We sit down on my bed and Isabelle says, "If he wakes you up, don't be the deadly adrenaline junky that you are in a fight. Be the good Clary, laughing, teasing, witty, sarcastic Clary. Okay?"
"I plan on it, but there's only so much he can do, Iz. I'm not the girl he broke last time. I'm not her. She's pretty much gone, only a glimmer of her is left." I say running a hand over the tiny scars on my arms that hadn't been done with a stele.
"I know, but I think he's more capable of doing things to you than you think. Tonight on that dance floor, you were alive. You were the Clary that I had immediately liked and knew you were a shadowhunter. The Clary that as soon as you started your training we started parabatai training. I think he can fix some of what he's broken." Isabelle says hugging me.
"I hope you're right, but I'm not too sure." I say as Isabelle pulls out a bag of chocolate chip cookies made by Jordan. A few minutes later a knock comes at my door. I hop up and open the door.
"Hey, guys. Get your butts in here." I say waving Jordan and Gabriela inside.
They set the popcorn, candy, and movies down as Isabelle and I pull the painting covering our seventy-two inch flat screen down. Jordan hands me a movie and I look at it to see the movie Max in my hands. I put it in the CD player and turn the TV on as I say, "Jordan, we are going to be balling our eyes out by the end of this."
Gabriela pulls three boxes of tissues out of her bag as Jordan sets up our table that we keep our food and drinks on.
We all grab a bowl of popcorn and sit down on my bed to watch the movie...
