When Naruto and I arrived at Ichiraku, we sat down and ordered Miso pork ramen. As we competed to finish first, someone else came in and sat next to me. I slowly narrowed my eyes over to my right and saw someone with white eyes.'OH, MY GOD, IT'S NEJI!!!!!' I mentally screamed. I slowed my breathing and put the bowl down on the counter."Hey, one more round?" Natural offered.
"Actually, I'm stuffed." I reply with a blush on my cheeks."Hey, is it alright if introduce you to some friends?" He asks and I stare at Neji from the corner of my eye."Huh? Oh, yeah, sure." I smile."Oh, here's a friend now. Heya, Neji!" He shouts happily.
[*] Neji [*]
After ordering my food, I wait quietly. I feel the girl next to me staring at me and it's annoying. I was just about to say something to her when Naruto shouted at me. I sigh and turn to see the girl I so rudely called annoying.'Oh. My. God.' I thought. I thought I saw her turn to me in slow motion and her hair blew in the wind as she smiled.
"Hi, I'm Gray." She said as she extended her hand. My heart raced as I shook her hand and smiled back. But, I just played it cool."I'm Neji Hyuga. It's a pleasure to meet such a beautiful lady." I replied.'Dammit, I didn't mean to say that out loud!'
"Oh, t-thank you." She blushed madly, and I did too. We quickly let go and turned away at the same time."Okay then. Well, let's go, Gray. There's some more friends I wantcha to meet!" Natural said, pulling her out of the shop.
I sighed heavily and let my heart slow down.'What just happened?' I ask myself."Well, Neji. I never would've imagined you falling in love." said the old man. I couldn't even speak, I just sighed and ate.
[*] Gray [*]
'Okay, that occurred. He's hotter in person!' I thought."Hey, what happened back there? We're you nervous?" Naruto asked."You could say that." I answered."Hey, Naruto!" I heard a voice.'Holy shit monkeys!' I mentally screamed again. I turned to see none other than Kiba Inuzuka and his team.
I nearly passed out."Who's the slice of hotness?" He asked, winking at me."This is Gray and she's on my team. Gray, this is Kiba, Shino and Hinata." Natural says, pointing to each one of them."Hello." I waved."H-hi." Hinata stuttered. So adorable."Hey." Kiba said flirting with me."Hello." Shino said plainly.
"Okay, let's go!" Naruto said, pulling me away again."See ya later!" Kiba waved. I waved back to him and continued with Naruto. He dragged me everywhere and I met all his friends. They were nice and it was fun. But now I'm tired and I need a nap. Naruto took me to a different training field than the one we were at today and I sat in the soft, comfortable grass. I drifted off to sleep even though the blazing sun was burning my face. The sounds Naruto was making as he trained actually helped me fall asleep.
[*] Naruto [*]
I trained for hours and I saw it was getting late so I decided it was time to go home. Before I left I heard soft snoring and I looked around. I finally looked down and saw Gray sleeping on the ground. I bent down and got closer to her, and turned her on her back. Her arms spread out and I laughed. She was so cute when she was asleep. I didn't wanna wake her up so I picked her up bridal-style and carried her to my house.
[*] Next Morning, Gray [*]
I woke up in a bed, that was soft and warm. I sat up and saw Naruto next to me, sleeping with a smile on his face."Aww." I couldn't help but say it. He's so cute when he's asleep. I didn't wanna wake him up so I carefully stepped over him and onto the cold, cold floor.'Fuck, where are my shoes?!' I looked around the room and they weren't in here. I jumped back on the bed and remembered Naruto as I landed on his foot.
He jumped up and I stood on my my toes on the floor so he could have his foot back."Ow, what happened?" He asked, as he rubbed his eyes."Oh, I'm sorry, Naruto. The floor's just really cold." I said, covering my blush."It's okay." He smiled with a sleepy face. I smiled back and sat on the end of the bed by his feet.
"You fell asleep on the ground last night and I don't know where you live so..." He said."It's fine. Nice place." I commented."Heheh, thanks." He blushed."Hey, has anyone told you how adorable you are when you smile?" I ask, smiling at him.
He blushed and turned to me with wide blue eyes."No." He said."Well, you're really cute when you're happy. They say that happiness is the best accessory." I said. He blushed more and it made me happy.
From what I know from the show, he was never really appreciated. I want to let him know that I like him for who he is whether he's a hero yet or not."I know we just met, but we're always gonna be friends, okay?" I say, holding out me hand.
"Best friends?" He asks, doing the same but with his pinky."Best friends." I answer, locking my pinky with his. After our special moment, we went outside and I showed him where I live. It was a mansion almost the size of the Hokage's. There was furniture covered in white sheets, paint coming off the wall, and stained carpets."Wow. You live here?" He asked.
"Actually, I just moved in. This used to be my family's place before some huge accident and I've been living with a distant friend. I just got back yesterday." I explained as we stepped over broken glass and stains."Hey, if you're gonna spruce up the place, can I help?" He asked."Aww, of course you an." I smiled. He jumped for joy as we made it to my room.
"This doesn't look as bad as the rest. So this'll be the least of our problems." He said. I roll my eyes."I know exactly what color the walls will be." He proclaimed."It's not orange, is it?" I ask."No. I was gonna say blue." He said, poking my stomach. I stepped back and laughed a little and he smirked.
"You never said you were ticklish."
"I-I'm not."
"Yes, you are." I tried to run but he tackled me to the floor. He sat on top of me and tickled me to the point where I couldn't breathe. He stopped and pinned my hands down on the floor."Gray," he called me."Yes, Naruto?"
"Can you promise me we'll never lose each other or our friendship? And we'll always be there for each other?" He asked with a sparkle in his eyes."Of course. And, Naruto?" I called."Yes, Gray?"
"We've got work to do so can you get off me?"
"Sorry." He laughed and stood and helped me up."Okay. Let's work on moving the sheets off of everything and maybe dust. Get the spiders and cobwebs out of here." I instructed. He nodded and grabbed my hand. We went to the living room and started with the white covers. I pulled a big one off of a couch and a horrid smell hit me in the face.
"Whoa, forget what I said, let's start with some light dusting." I said, covering my nose."Or a light bonfire!" He shouted. We ran to the door and opened it, falling to our knees as we breathed the fresh air. A bird flew by the house and it instantly dropped to the ground."Yeah, a bonfire might help." I replied.
