[*] Gray [*]

"She what?!" I shout in disbelief. Amelia just told me that I'm not allowed to go on missions."That's not fair!" I exclaimed as I go back and for the across my room."Those are her rules. Izumo and Kotetsu are gonna protect you." she said, trying to smoothie things over."This isn't about them. This is about Tsunade not believing in me."

"Of course she believes in you. But the truth is, you're not ready for this world yet." she says."Then why am I here in the first place. Why is this my home if I'm not ready to live here or even try to fight for it? Why?!" I ask, tears streaming down my face."Please don't cry, Gray. You haven't a reason to." she said, placing his hand on my shoulder.

I pulled away and went outside.

[*] Amelia [*]

Gray left me and I went back up to my home above Earth."So, you still haven't told her?" I heard Kami's voice behind me. Without turning I sighed and looked back down to Gray walking through the village."Things are hard enough on the child. Why add more pressure?" I ask."She needs to know, Amelia." He says.

"I'll tell her but please don't rush it, my Lord." I plead."Very well. But when you do, get to it, be sure she's in a good mood." he said and left me alone to watch over her. Naruto had just approached her and hugged her tight.'Naruto...please protect her when I'm not around. I'm trusting you.' I thought.

[*] Gray [*]

I cried on Naruto's shoulder as I struggled to figure out why this ever happened to me."Gray, what's wrong?" He asked."I don't know anymore." I sobbed as he tightened his grip around me."Is it about Kabuto again?" He asked, rubbing my back.

"No."

"Then why are you crying?"

I sniffed and wiped my eyes and he let go of me as I sighed."I don't feel like I belong here." I admitted."Sure ya do! Your headband proves it!" He laughed and I gave a small and that faded quickly."It's just a headband." I shook my head."No way! This headband bears the crest of the Hidden Leaf village! If you wear it, it means you're a Leaf shinobi and we're all equals. It's not just a headband. It's a symbol of who we are and what we live for. You're a part of this village now. You belong here." He said, placing his hands on my shoulders with a smile.

"Naruto, you don't understand." I protest, pushing away from him."Let me try. You can trust me." He begged. I just turned away and ran. As I turned a corner, I almost bumped into someone. I didn't stay to find out who it was.

[*] Neji [*]

Gray nearly knocked me over running away from Naruto. She kept running with her hand covering her mouth and her muffled sobs grew faint the farther she ran."Gray, wait a second!" Naruto yelled. Before he got too far, I grabbed his hand to stop him."Neji?! What are you doing?!" He exclaimed, trying to pull away from me.

"What happened?" I ask."Why do you wanna know?"

"She's a friend. And I want to help."

"I don't think she'll let you." He said, crossing his arms and looking to the ground. The poor girl's suffering and I don't know why or how to help. I'm useless. Naruto ran past me and to find Gray. I slid down the side of the wall until I was on t he ground.'What's wrong with me? If people have personal problems, I never help.' I thought.

[*] Naruto [*]

After running for a while, Gray stopped and fell to her knees at the park. I ran up to her and knelt down in front of her."Gray, what was that?! Why are are you running?" I ask. After a moment of silence, she wiped her tears and wrapped her arms around me in a tight embrace and I returned the hug."Naruto, there are certain things that I just can't tell you right now." she finally said.

"Why not?" I ask."Because I don't even know. When I find out, I'll tell you what I can, okay?" she says and I nod. We release each other and I use a thumb to wipe another escaping tear from her cheek."If you ever wanna talk about something, no matter what it is, I'm here for you, okay?" I told her and she smiled."I know. Cause you're just that awesome." she said.

[*] Later [*]

We walked up to Sakura and Sasuke standing on the bridge over to river, apparently waiting for someone."Hey, duck butt!" Gray waved at Sasuke. I didn't help but chuckle at the matter."Hey, sitter." He replied and she paused."Why'd you call me that?" she asked."Uh, let's see. You sat on me!"

"Look! You can milk that all you want to but I'm gonna sit on your ass again." she said, jabbing a finger in his direction. He scoffed and rolled his eyes as he leaned against the bridge handle. She mocked his scoff and pulled his arm to flip him. He landed on his back and she sat on his stomach again.

"You're one sick lady." He groaned under her."Hi guys." Kakashi sensei."You're late," Sakura says."I'm sorry. I was helping-" "Oh, I don't wanna hear your excuses!! Just get on with it!" she said."Alright then. Lady Tsunade has assigned us to a mission."

"Yes!" I cheered."But Gray can't come." He finished and my jaw dropped."What?! Why not!!" Sakura shouted."She 's not ready for a mission like this one." He answer as I roll my eyes."Do you not see this? I just took down an Uchiha! How am I not ready?!" Gray asks.

"Gray, you already know why you can't go. The rest of you, pack some supplies and meet me at the gate in twenty minutes." Kakashi sensei orders. Gray stands and Sasuke dusts himself off. The others leave as I stand by her side.

"Why can't you go." I ask, looking at Gray as she eyes the ground angrily, clenching her fists and gritting her teeth."Grandma Tsunade won't let me out of the village. I couldn't go, even if I demanded to." she growled. To avoid another chase, I went home to pack. Of course I still thought about my best friend and how she feels.
