After traveling for so long, we got tired but not exactly from moving around."Does anyone else have a headache?" I ask."I do. I hate headaches." Naruto whines."I do as well. There's something strange about this horrid gas. I think it might be-" Neji trailed off, falling from the branch he was standing on."Neji!" Naruto yelled jumping after him. He caught Neji but passed out as well upon landing on the ground below.

Kiba's face was the last thing I saw before I blacked out. I thought I heard him call my name.

I opened my eyes to see a cage in front of me. It's a huge cage with red eyes glowing, staring at me. But I'm too tired to stand and run."It's about time. I thought you'd never come to see me." said whoever owned the glowing red eyes inside the cage.

"Who are you?" I ask."You tell me. You're familiar with the Demon Clash, aren't you?" he asked with his demonic voice."Tukaro..." I answer with a gasp."That's right."

"You're the tailed beast that fought Kurama." I stated."I'm actually not a tailed beast. Because I never grew a tail." he said, momentarily closing his eyes."T-that's sad. But it's kinda hard to feel bad when you're scared for you life." I say, my knees wabbling.

"Don't worry, I have no intention of hurting you."

"Touching. But it ain't workin'." I laugh nervously.

"Kurama, what happened?" I ask, rubbing my head."Why are you asking me, brat? I don't know what happened." he spits hotly, glaring at me with his eyes of hatred.

"I hope the others are okay, especially Gray." I mumble to myself."Gray Kuyashi. I think there's something I should tell you about that girl, kid." Kurama growls."What do you know about her? You never pay attention to what I'm involved with."

"That's very true. However, I know she has a beast inside her as well."

"Really?" I wonder."Tukaro, the Tailless Beast."

"Tailless beast?"

"Yes. He was meant to be the ten tails but a different beast was strong enough to take Tukaro's power and evolve into the ten tails. Now he hasn't the power to grow a tail." he explains. I remain silent.

"I've hated Tukaro ever since that night. It's strange how the beasts hate each other but the bodies of the hosts are as close as two kids could be. Doesn't that sound strange to you?" he asks.

"Yeah, it does." I answer, looking away from Kurama and to the wet floor."Tukaro and I were friends at one point until......well I'd rather not say."

"Until what?" I ask anyway."Like I said, I don't want to talk about it. Now get out of here before I tear you to shreds." he growls again.'So grumpy.' I thought.

I sat up and rubbed my head again. I saw Gray unconscious next to me.I'd it safe for you and I to be friends?' I ask myself.

After waking up, it wasn't as far as we thought to the Sand village. It's like we were carried halfway. When we arrived, it wasn't much a gate. It was more like a...what do you call it? I can't put my finger on it but it's not a gate. We were met by two Jonin who stood in our path with serious faces.

"You must have permission to enter this village." one of them said. We presented our ID passes and they examined them carefully, smirking after."Alright, come on in. Lord Kazekage has awaited your arrival from the Leaf village." said the other man."May I ask your names?" I requested before following the others.

"I'm Sasho and this is my partner, Taka." the first man obliged. His partner scoffed and turned away."What's his deal?" I ask."He doesn't particularly like females." Sasho sighed. I leaned to look at the stuck up man behind him.

"Don't worry about me bothering you." he said, not bothering to face me.'Bitch!' I mentally shouted. I flipped my long blond hair and walked away to catch up to my squad."I wonder what's the Kazekage's like." Naruto thought out loud.

"For some reason, I feels he's gonna be a douchebag." I say, tapping my chin."Why?" asks Kiba."I don't know. I just do." I shrugged with a giggle. Neji turned to me with an eyebrow lifted up."Do you try to predict a person's personality before meeting them often?" he questions.

"Is that a question?" I ask jokingly."....Yes it is." he reluctantly answers."Are you sure?" I ask. Naruto has a hard time holding back his laughter."Stop talking." he says, looking back in front of him. Naruto and I share loud laughter together, slapping our knees and holding our stomachs.

We finally arrived at the Kazekage's mansion and requested to be allowed inside. I stepped up and knocked on the door."Please, come in." I heard. I shrugged and opened the door, seeing a man with somewhat dark red hair. He looked up from his papers and smiled at us.

"Well, hello there. You're the Genin sent from Konoha I presume?"

"You presume correct, sir." I answer. Naruto stickers, obviously knowing I was gonna be funny."Well, there are more details to your mission than you Hokage gave you. First, I'll need to confiscate your Leaf headbands," he began, holding out his hands.

"Why?" Naruto asks."Because, you shall put these on," he said handing us replicas but with the Sand symbol on them."These will lead the villagers and other shinobi to believe you're one of us. You'll be undercover participants in the Chunin exams because we weren't planning on having visitors this year." he explained. I nodded and took mine, wrapping mine around my waist this time.

"You look cute." Naruto beamed. I couldn't help but wrap my arms around his neck in a hug."Thank you, buddy!" I cooed.

"Two of my most elite Jonin will escort you to a hotel I've had set up for you." he said and clapped his hands."Yes, sir." they answered, bowing to him. It was Sasho and Taka. I groaned at Taka who narrowed one open eye up eye at me and he growled lowly.

"Please escort our visitors to the Soshaku hotel and help them settle." ordered the Kazekage.
