[*] Naruto [*]
I was finally released from the hospital and I was on my way to Gray's. I missed my best friend. It's been too long. Well, a day and a half but it's still too long for me. She's the coolest girl over ever met and she's funny.
As I neared her door, Gray opened it and stepped out."Naruto, you're okay!!" she shouted and jumped on me with a hug."Of course I'm okay." I scoff. She released her death grip on my neck and sighed."Come on, Grandma Tsunade has summoned us." she said, pulling me toward the old bat's tower.
We arrived and entered her office to see Neji and Kiba standing on opposite sides, leaving an opening for me and Naruto to stand in the middle.
"Great, you're all here. Now let's begin," Tsunade said."On the other side of the Land of Fire is the Sand village, Suna. They're holding their Chunin exams in three days, which gives you enough time to get there. Your objective is to find out whoever is out to attack Gaara, the Kazekage's son. Some say it's the Akatsuki making an early move. I want you four to find out the truth and put a stop to it. You'll receive more details when you arrive in the Sand village. Pack whatever you need and be out of here in 30 minutes." she instructs, earning a bow from all of us and we leave her office.
I ran home and summoned my wolves, Kash and Willow. Willow's a girl.
"Yes, Milady." they said when they appear, bowing to me."Okay, I need both of you to come with me on a mission. I have three other guys coming with me so that's one of the reasons why I summoned you, Willow. The other reason is, I need you both to sniff out any enemies that might be lurking about. Even a two second head start can save a life." I explained quickly as I ran around my room, packing weapons, summoning scroll and paper bombs I never knew we're in here. Which is very unsafe.
"I shall do whatever you want me to, master." Willow said."Thanks. But just call me Gray." I said, standing up with my finger to my chin."Yes, ma'am."
"Okay, I'm ready. You guys?"
"We can summon any of our belongings from Mount Myuboku. We don't really need carry-ons." Kash answered, and I nod. We race for the village gate, trying not to be late. When we arrived, Kiba and Naruto were standing there, leaning against the large door.
"AAAAHHH, WOLVES!!!" Naruto shouts, running behind a tree."Those are foxes, stupid." Kiba said, keeping his cool."I-I knew that. I was testing you." Naruto stuttered, coming out from behind the tree.
"Naruto, this is Kash and Willow. Kash and Willow, my best friend, Naruto." I introduced them."I'm here too, y'know." Kiba said with a shrug."And this is my other friend, Kiba." I sighed."You forgot about me." Neji said, walking out from behind a tree."Oh, my gosh. Introduce yourself!" I groaned loudly.
Willow looked at Neji with wide, sparkling eyes and gasped in awe.'Is she okay,' I wonder as she slowly walks to him and sits."Hi." she said. He looks down with his usual straight face and waves."I'm Neji."
"It's nice to m-meet you."
'Did she just stutter?!'
She kept sighing and making dreamy eyes at him."This just got crazy." Naruto mumbled to me. We laughed to ourselves before I heard footsteps approaching us."Before you kids leave, I forgot to tell you who'd be in charge of this mission." said the person behind us. Lady Tsunade stepped up to us with a smile.
"Neji Hyuga," she said. Neji smirked to himself victoriously."Make sure you, Kiba and Naruto follow every order Gray gives you."
Everyone froze and anime fell."WHAT?!"
"B-but I don't know how to lead a mission!" I exclaim."That's why I'm leaving you in charge. Because you come from such a legendary clan, people will expect a lot more from you. It's my job to make sure you're in the position to live up to their expectations." she explained.
"But I'm not!!" I whine."Come on, Gray. I know you'll make a great leader." Naruto said, putting an arm around me."I know you're just saying that cause you're my best friend. But since we're running low on time, I'll take your word for it with a sigh." I said and sighed.
"Okay, you better get going. When you arrive at the Sand village gates, show them these passes and they'll know I sent you. They'll set you up in a hotel. Got it?" she asked, after handing us ID passes.
"Understood!" we all answer to her."Good. Now, move out!" she orders. So we immediately leave for Suna. We jumped through trees for hours. Willow and Kash were on either side of me, sniffing and searching for any enemies, as were Kiba and Akamaru. Suddenly, I smelled something awful."Awe, dude, Naruto! Why man?!" Kiba yells obviously smelling it too.
"Why do you assume it's me?!" asks my blond friend."Cause it's always you!" Kiba retorts. I giggle to myself before the smell gets stronger. Willow shrieks, holding her breath."Everyone stop!" I order and they obey.'This is gonna be fun.' I thought.
Neji activated his Byakugan, to which Willow sighed with a smile."Anything?" I ask as he turns his head to canvas the area."Three people. They're headed in the direction ahead of us."
"Do you think they're headed to Suna too?" Naruto asked."I don't know. However, I am sure of one thing," Neji stated."And that is?" I ask."They're the source of this terrible smell." he answered, holding his no e with two fingers. We all groaned, knowing we'd have to travel in the same direction of the smell the whole time.

My comrades laughed menacingly as we walked ahead."Tura, you're a genius!" said Gaku, his brown hair holding his eyes."The idea to set them up with your knock out gas was brilliant." Raku added. I smirked as my younger twin brothers continued laughing."Yes," I said."Those Leaf ninja won't even suspect a thing. During the Chunin exams in the Sand village, well hit 'em hard and become Lord Raikage's favorites! He'll give us anything we desire." I say, smirking evily and giggling."Gold, riches! It'll be ours!"
"Boys, I told you we aren't doing this for just money. It's for power and the recognition that we've always deserved."
We all laughed menacingly, walking calmly toward the desert.
