Pearl A.P.D.A.A.A.H.R. Jackson
Time Period/ Age: At age 13, during the battle of the Labyrinth.
Location: Arrows Academy. Dallas, Texas.
I jogged across the campus of my boarding school, Arrows Academy, in search of my best friend, Aria. Of course, I found her in the music room playing 'Jar of Hearts,' on the harp.
"Sup girl," I said sitting on the bench and started to play the song on the piano.
"Hey," she said quietly.
"What's wrong," I asked her while I put my fingers on the bench.
"There's an audition for a recital in New York and only the best of the best get to go," she said.
"And your worried you won't get in," I asked.. She nodded.
"Aria, that's crazy. Your practically a pro on the harp and with your voice you'll blow them away," I say.
"But what about dancing," she asked.
"Angela, you and I can make up a killer dance routine," I replied.
"Okay, it's rare that we ever get together to dance anyway," she said.
"Now what song are you doing?"
"Um, any suggestions?"
"How about Beyoncé's 'Sweet Dreams'?"
"Like I can sing or play the song on the harp as fast as Beyoncé put the rhythm of the song. Who said you weren't funny?"
"What about the Jessica Sanchez cover?"
"Hm, yeah I could do that."
"Good, now practice young lady," I said putting my hands on my hips.
"Wait, what song are you doing?"
"The Little Mermaid 'Part Of Your World'."
"You really like that movie, don't you?"
I sighed, "it reminds me of the ocean. I miss it."

"So I talked over with Angela and she agreed to help out," I said over the phone to my mom.
"That's great, honey," Mom said
"Either way I get to see them on that stage and you get to meet them," I told her as I laid down in the bed.
"That's great, Percy and I have been anxious to meet them," she says.
"Speaking of my brother, how's he liking that camp you took him to," I asked.
"It keeps him busy," Mommy says. And yes, I still call my mom, Mommy sometimes.
"Oh mommy I almost forgot, guess what," I said sitting up.
"I give up."
"You didn't even try."
"You know I'm not good at guessing."
"Ha-ha, wow Mommy, wow."
"So tell me what's the next big piece of news."
"I found the key.""Your kidding!"
"Nope."
"What was the key?"
"My necklace."
"I'm proud of you. You and your brother. You two have accomplished so much. Oh, why couldn't your father see this? You two would have been better and maybe you wouldn't have to be so far away."
"Mom, it's okay. It's not your fault. Listen, I'll be in New York in two days no matter what. I'll see you in a bit, okay? I got to go or else I won't be able to call you tomorrow."
"Okay, baby, I love you."
"I love you, too."

The Next Day
After the audition
Angela, Aria and I were sitting down right in front of the 'The Known' as we called them. The reason that we called them that was because here at Arrows was a big secret and until you were old enough, and with parent's permission, they would tell you and would place you on the other side of the campus. Knows weren't allowed to hang out with the Unknown unless they were partners, but that never happened. It was stupid, but we couldn't do anything about it.
Anyway the list finally came out and Angela, Aria and I stayed in our seats, laughing at all the people who were tripping in the crowd and how the Known were getting into fights because one got in and the other didn't. When things settled down my friends looked at the list but I stayed in my seat. Either way I was going to New York. But I really didn't want to go look at the list.
"WE MADE IT,' Angela said.
"All of us," I asked.
"YUP," Aria yelled.
We screamed together and started jumping like our feet were burning.
"LOOK OUT NEW YORK, WE'RE COMING!!!!"
