Percy Jackson

Time Period/ Age: After the Battle of the Labyrinth, day of Pearl's coming home, age 15

Location: Camp Half-Blood

I've been training all day with one of the kids from Ares and let me tell you this guy made me feel like a noodle by the time I was done.

But even if he sucked, he would have won.

My mind was elsewhere, specifically on my little sister. I couldn't wait to see her. I talked to my mom and she said that she got a showcase here so she'll be here for a while. And I heard that she got it all under control. I was so happy. Maybe we can try surfing again.

Anyway, I had asked Chiron if I could go home for a while and he said yes. I was leaving as soon as I changed my cloths.

I ran into Cabin Three and saw Tyson sitting down on his bed, pouting.

Dad had sent Tyson back since the camp was safer for him.

"I'm only going to be gone for a little while," I told Tyson for the millionth time.

I felt bad that Pearl and Tyson were possibly, if things kept going the way they were, never going to meet. Pearl would have LOVED to take care of Tyson. She would read him bedtime stories or sing him to sleep, help him out when I can't and other big sister stuff. But, since I don't want her in danger of the gods, she'll keep doing little sister stuff. Like annoying the hell out of me.

"Why can't I go," Tyson asked.

"Because the person I'm going to see doesn't know about all this," I replied. He pouted more and brought out the puppy dog face. Now there is a look only I can resist. "I'm really sorry Ty. But I'll try and Iris you." I finished my bag and started to carry it like a backpack. "Want to walk me?" Tyson nodded and started to walk next to me. We talked and went over the rules one last time but right when we got to the border Chiron called everyone to the tables.

Tyson and I ran to our table and he had a smile on his face since I got to stay a little longer.

"Brats," Dionysus aka Mr. D started. "As much as this would please me, I'm going to let Chiron do the honors." Mr. D took a step back and Chiron rode forward.

"Heroes, you are not going to like the next piece of news I have for you," he started. I look over at my friends and brother and shrugged. As long as I get to leave camp and make sure my sister is okay out there and Tyson stays here, I'll be okay. "The gods doubt your skills."

Whispers filled the area. And are you kidding me?! Who wouldn't be whispering? The gods think we can't fight. And there goes my good mood.

"They have decided to come down here and train you themselves, and are on their wa-". He was cut off by a bright light that flashed and when the light dimmed down, there stood 12 people. "Well that was fast," Chrion mumbled. "Now I present to you the gods of Olympus," Chiron moved to the side and the 12 gods came into full view. Even though they expected us to clap, all they got was dirty looks.

"Hello, children," Zeus began. "As you all may have heard, we doubt you can fight well enough for this upcoming battle. Which is why, we have decided to come down here and train you ourselves." He paused and waited for us to clap, but we didn't. Ha.

He sat down along with the other gods on the grand table that was placed in front of the lunch area on top of a stand and told us to eat. I got up and waved goodbye to Tyson.

"And just where do you think your going," Zeus asked very loudly.

"Home," I replied not stopping or even looking back.
