"Me? What could the Winchesters possibly want with me?" I gasped.
"They want to help you, with your gifts." Castiel smiled brightly.
"But why??" I was still in shock that the Dean and Sam Winchester want to help me.
Cas and I rode the rest of the short drive in silence, other than the soft hum of the radio.
I pulled in to my driveway, noticing a car parked around the side. It was a matte black, 1967 model Chevrolet Impala, I had always wanted one- or at least see one up close- I studied the car as I parked next to it, mouth gaping slightly in awe, and as my eyes slowly caressed her sleek frame, I saw a man leaning against the passenger door. I could barely see him in the dim moon light, but from what I could see; his hair was dark and shaggy, his jaw very prominent with a little stubble (I like that in a man), muscular, and really tall.
For a moment, I forgot that Cas was right next to me, his deep voice making my jump slightly.
"Dammit, Cas!" I giggled, and smacked him softly on the arm.
"I thought you were accustomed to my voice by now." He chuckled, running his fingers through my long blonde hair. I never really like people touching my hair, but I don't mind when Cas does. It's comforting, he always could tell when I was nervous. He spoke up again, "The man that you were just affectionately staring at", he pointed to the man in in front of me, "is Sam. You two share a lot of the same qualities, so you will get along great." Cas smiled, patting my shoulder.
I turned to look at my friend, but he was no longer in the seat next to me, Cas was holding my car door open for me to get out.
Behind him I heard Sam yell, followed by a thud. Once I stood up, I saw Sam prop himself up on his elbows and shake his long hair from his face.
"What the-? Dammit Cas! What did I tell you about doing that?!" Sam groaned. Castiel chuckled as he closed the car door behind me, turning to give Sam a hand up.
"So, where is she Cas?" Sam asked, looking around him.
"I'm not that small, am I?" I peeked out from around Castiel.
Castiel lifted his arm and rested it on my shoulders as I stood beside him, nervously.
"Hi." I smiled up at Sam, who smiled back sweetly, showing off his dimples. Butterflies erupted all throughout my body as he winked at me, I blushed and looked at the ground. Slightly thankful for the darkness, so he couldn't see my blushing cheeks.
"Dean, so glad you could join us." Castiel smiled to his friend. I knew, because Cas told me about them when he was assigned to help them. Telling me all about their hunts, and the good times they shared. It made me happy to see Cas enjoying himself, of course, Cas and I have had many great times together too, but I'm glad that he gets time with some real hunters. Sometimes I worry that I bore him, monsters only creep into town every month or so, so he doesn't see much action here with me.
"Oh, hey Cas. Didn't know you were coming too." Dean smiled.
"Yeah, well, I had to tell Willow that she had some visitors, so that you two didn't get beat up when she got home to find two strange men at her home." Cas chuckled and squeezed my shoulders, making me shout.
"Ouch! What the hell?" I said peeling off my leather jacket to reveal a deep cut down my arm, and my shoulder dislocated. I have always had a high tolerance for pain, so I must not have noticed that I got cut.
"I'm so sorry! Are you okay?" Cas jumped, when I yelped.
"It's okay Cas, just a cut and dislocated shoulder. I just now noticed it, anyway." I laughed.
"Can I take a look?" Sam asked walking over to me, and looking at my arm gingerly, I nodded.
"I can't really see it out here, maybe we should go inside?" He suggested.
"Yeah, just let me get my stuff." I turned and Castiel already had my bags and keys in hand. I shook my head and grabbed my keys from him. "Thanks, love."
I locked my car, and went to unlock the front door, Sam walking next to me. Behind us , Dean was telling Cas all about the nest of vampires they just finished in California and how he nearly got turned.
Once we were all inside, I locked the doors and turned on the lights, laying my jacket on a chair in the kitchen. It was really a lot of space for just one person, but I didn't mind it, I grew up in this house and after my family was killed, I just couldn't leave it..
"You live here alone?" Sam asked, I nodded.
"This is where I grew up, and I promised my mom I would take care of it before she died.." I looked up at him, and even more butterflies erupted than before. 'What is happening to me??' I thought, no one had ever made me feel this way before. 'There's something about you Sam Winchester... But what is it?'
