-Sam's POV-
"What's been buggin you Sam? You've been really quiet today." Dean said.
"I want to ask Willow to marry me.." I said.
"That's great Sammy! I was starting to wonder when you were gonna ask her." He chuckled.
"I just haven't found a ring good enough for her. She's so amazing to us, how she stays home to take care of the boys, even when she so desperately wants to hunt with us. I just want her to know how much I really love her." I explained, smiling to myself.
The case we were on was an easy salt-and-burn, so Dean, Cas, and myself decided to go find a ring for Willow. And the first one I saw, was perfect! So, I bought it and we went home, and on the way I called Gabriel to help me plan the perfect proposal.
Gabriel decided to call in Castiel, because he knows everything about her, and he gave me the perfect idea.
-WILLOW's POV-
Uncle Bobby had come to visit for the weekend, while Sam and Dean were on the hunt, and took the boys outside to play. So I took the opportunity to relax a little, and went to take a warm bath. I lowered myself in and closed my eyes for a moment, taking in the soft smells of lavender and honey from the candles I lit.
I started thinking about Sam, seeing how our anniversary was coming up and it occurred to me that we had never talked about getting married. I suppose we've just been so happy with how things were going that the topic never came up, although I have thought of it a few times... I never pressed the issue. Soon I found myself drifting to sleep, so I decided to wash up and go lay down on the bed for a quick nap. I knew if the boys needed me they would come wake me up, plus they were with Uncle Bobby. It didn't take long for me to fall to sleep, thanks to Sam's usual comforting scent of old books and pine, and began dreaming;~~~ "Daddy!" A little girl's voice called through the vast halls of the bunker.
"Daddy!" She called again.
"Mary, where are you?" I heard Sam shout, as he ran past me to the little voice. Noticing that Sam couldn't see me, I quickly followed him, and when I caught up my heart skipped a beat.
"Mary?" Sam spoke softly, to the small toddler in her crib.
"Daddy!" She giggled.
"Your first words! I'm so proud of you, Princess!" Sam smiled and kissed the small child on the cheek, making her giggle again. ~~~I was woken up by the feeling of someone softly bouncing the bed, so I opened my eyes.
"Hey beautiful, wake up." I heard my love's voice coo softly in my ear.
"Mmm.. Sammy." I cooed softly back. I heard him chuckle and he placed a soft kiss to my shoulder.
"I love you, Angel." He whispered.
"I love you more, Sammy." I smiled and rolled over, burying my face in his big warm chest.
"I have a surprise for you, babe." He said, running his fingers through my hair.
"What is it?" I grinned up at him.
"You'll just have to wait and see. Now, I've laid you out something to wear so go get ready." He chuckled.
"Okay. What about the boys?"
"Bobby and Dean are watching them for the weekend and Tara is on standby if they need her." He smiled and kissed my forehead.
"Okay." I smile and kiss his soft lips.
I walked into the bathroom to see a beautiful maroon dress hanging on the door along with shoes and a little key necklace; so I got dressed and fixed my hair and put on a little makeup.(http://www.polyvore.com/m/set?.embedder=22216427&.svc=copypaste&id=215842810)
"Sammy?" I called as I walked out.
I saw that he had made the bed, placed rose petals on it along with a note:
"Willow, this is your first clue. Go to the library to find number two.
Love, Sam."
I giggled at his rhyme, and followed the sound of soft music towards the library. On the table in the middle of the room, were my copies of the Harry Potter series stacked together with another note on top; "You found me! To find number three turn to page 394." I knew which book that was so I quickly found the page with another note inside.
"On a shelf you will find a large book with leather binds, its full of reasons I love you, sweet Angel of mine."
Tears were brimming in my eyes, as I didn't expect all of this from Sam, but it's fun and I'm eager to see what else happens.
Soon I find the book, and there's a note sitting on top of it.
"I filled this book with all the things I love about you, but for now I need to to follow the rose petals, I have an even bigger surprise waiting to where they lead." I smiled. Sat the book back on the shelf and followed the other trail of rose petals that were laid out for me. I ran my fingertips along the wall as I walked, humming "Beauty and the Beast" to myself, when I reached the back door. There was another note, "Angel, you made it! I've been waiting so patiently, but before you open the door I need you to close your eyes and knock three times. Castiel will lead you outside, but no peeking! Once you hear my voice, you can open your eyes. I love you!" I giggled, closing my eyes I knocked on the door.
