A/N: Don't start the music yet, if you plan to listen while reading. Also, warning, it's very dark.

I was sound asleep, having a pleasant dream about a world of candy.

That is, until he showed up.

"Bill! What do you want from me?" I said, furious and suspicious. Bill had already invaded our grunkle's mind, possessed my brother's body, and now he was back? Not on my watch!

"Boy Shooting Star, you sure are feisty!" Bill remarked. "I wanna show you something."

I stared at him with that suspicious look on my face. "What kind of something?"

"I need a puppet, Shooting Star, and Pine Tree is out of the question since your little 'sock opera' However, you... you might be able to be convinced."

"Yeah, fat chance! You think I'm just going to let you possess me?"

"Nope! Which is why I wanna show you something."

"And what is that?"

"You have quite the imagination," the dapper triangle said, "and I want to show you it."

I looked up, shocked. "My imagination?"

"That's right!" Bill said. You could almost see the grin on his face. "And I'll give you a free tour too! Just take my hand."

I held my hand back, reluctant. "You're not going to try to make a deal with me, are you?"

"I couldn't even if I wanted to. I can't make deals with an unwilling 'customer.' It's impossible."

(Music starts now)

"O-okay," I said, but I was still reluctant. I reached out my hand and turned away, closing my eyes. Bill took it, pulling me out.

And when I opened my eyes, I couldn't believe what I saw.

It was too amazing for words to describe. My imagination was a vast pavilion, and it was filled with all kinds of... stuff. Butterflies and lollipops, rainbows and hearts, flowers and sunshine. It was... perfect.

I stood there silent for a moment, until I was greeted by a human Bill.

"So...?"

I shook his hand immediately. Blue fire engulfed it, sealing our deal.

"Come with me, and you'll be,
In a world of pure imagination,
Take a look and you'll see into your imagination."
Bill, singing, still holding my hand, gestured at the expanse.
"We'll begin with a spin,"
Bill spun and dipped me, still holding my hand.
"Traveling in the world of my creation,
What will see will defy explanation."
We headed out, hand in hand, walking through fields of grass.
"If you want to view paradise,"
I summoned a butterfly.
"Simply look around and view it,"
I quickly nuzzled it with my nose and set it free.
"Anything you want to, do it,
Want to change the world, there's nothing to it."
I looked up at Bill, suddenly feeling an understanding between us. He smiled down on me.
But then I felt sorta... Sad for no reason.
He winked at me and suddenly disappeared with a snap, but the singing continued.

"There is no life I know
To compare with pure imagination,"
I hugged all the marshmallow bunnies I could handle at once,
"Living there, you'll be free,"
Slept on clouds,
"If you truly wish to be."
And flew around with wings. It was amazing, like a dream. Suddenly, I spotted a strange hidden door with a CAUTION: DO NOT ENTER sign posted on it.
But I was curious. A little too curious.
I opened the door, and what I saw, I could never unsee.
It was the door to my dark imagination, something I didn't know I had.
The door closed behind me and I heard it lock.
"If you want to view paradise,"
Eyes watched me as I saw my brother-dead.
"Simply look around and view it,"
I started to cry as blood gushed out from all around me.
"Anything you want to, do it,"
My eyes poured giant red tears as spiders crawled towards me, surrounding me.
"Want to change the world, there's nothing to it."
I tried to will myself awake. But once I was awake, I wished I'd stayed asleep.
I saw what Bill wanted with my body.
"M-Mabel! What's gotten into you!?"
I held a knife, and no matter how hard I willed myself to let go of it, I couldn't.
"Your sister made a deal with me. She's just waking up from her paradise. He he! And now a riddle! What do Pine Trees and Shooting Stars have in common?"
Dipper kept backing away, until he reached the door, at which point he opened it and ran.
Bill pursued him with insane persistence and speed.
"THEY BOTH FALL DOWN!" he yelled before starting to laugh like the cruel, heartless maniac he was.
"Come with me, and you'll be,
In a world of pure imagination,
and you'll be,
In a world of pure imagination,"
Bill cornered him in the bathroom.
"Nowhere left to run, Pine Tree!"
"and you'll be,
In a world of pure imagination"
He waited for a second to torture Dipper,
"and you'll be,
In a world of pure imagi-
world of pure imagi-"
The knife went up, and...
It hit, making a sharp, echoing clank!
"There is no life I know,"
Dipper didn't even have a chance to scream.
"To compare with pure imagination,"
Bill abandoned my body.
"Living there, you'll be free,"
I collapsed onto my brother, crying in torture.
"Have fun Shooting Star!"
"If you truly wish to be."
I didn't know what I'd do without my brother. He had been my only friend before Candy and Grenda, and now he was gone. I raised the knife in the air.
"And so, with a kiss-"
I kissed his forehead-
"I die."
I stabbed the knife into my chest.
And as I felt myself fading away, I went to my imagination again.
And Dipper was there waiting for me.
