RHIANNON LIU WAS nothing if not vengeful.

Blame it on her blood, steeped in old grudges and darker things. Or the devil, if you asked her twice. That was why she stood in the school parking lot, glancing over her shoulder for any wandering eyes. After confirming she was alone, she crouched beside the shiny Camaro, bubble gum popping between her teeth as she eyed the undercarriage.

This was no cause for concern. She wasn't going to kill him. Just... shake him up a bit. Maybe teach him a lesson. They might as well sanctify her!

"I should win an award for restraint," she muttered. Her nails were as sharp as knives as she sliced through a couple of wires. Not the emergency brakes. (Probably. Maybe? She wasn't totally sure.) Whatever. He would figure it out the next time he tried showing off his car and drifting like an idiot.

She dusted off her skirt, wedged the chewed-up sucker under the windshield wiper, and strutted off, humming with the indifference of someone who didn't just sabotage a beloved car.

Tommy scowled. "After the shit you pulled on my girlfriend? No way."

"Oh, c'mon, Tommy," Rhiannon coaxed, all low and silky, biting her lip. She began to circle him, each step slow, deliberate, the echo of a predator eyeing its prey. Her fingertip brushed over his shoulder, then slid down the length of his arm. "Don't you wanna have a little fun?"
