Re-cap:
"Josh, I'm sorry, but she's right. You gotta go buddy."
"And where am I gonna go Sasha? Home?"
I couldn't even process what was going on so I sat on the couch while they talked. This totally tops everything I was worried about before. Where did she put that bottle?

Chapter 3
((Sasha's POV))
I stopped getting everything together so I could sit and think for a minute. I don't want to send Josh out on the street but he definitely cannot stay here.
"Sasha, please let me crash here for a couple of days?"
"No way dude! I have to keep my record clean for college." I looked over at Julie. She was crying silently on the couch. I have to fix this. "Just let me figure this out for a second."
"What is there to figure out? Just let me...'
"SHHH!"
Ever since I was 10, I've been good at solving problems. I learned to become pretty logical when it comes to life situations after finding my mom passed out on the kitchen floor at age 9. That was back when I wasn't so logical. Back when all I knew how to do was cry in the face of fear. She died that night because I didn't call for help. It's not like I didn't know how to work a phone; I was just too busy sobbing to figure out calling 911 was what I was supposed to do. After that, I trained myself to think things through before losing control of a situation. That was the last time I ever fucked up so bad.
Now how am I gonna solve this? Who can I call? Where can he go? Where will he be safe? Who already has a record? Who doesn't care about their well being? There's only one person that fits those categories.
I picked up my phone and dialed the number.

::Ri:: "Yeah?"
"Dad, where are you?"
"I'm at home."
"At 7 o'clock? On a Sunday?"
"Yeah. Is that a problem?"
"You're meetings are on Sundays from 6-9."
"Fuck those meetings. I'm fine."
"Whatever. I need a favor"
"What?"
"Remember Josh? Julie's brother?"
"Yeah"
"He needs a place to crash."
"So?"
"Sooo can he stay with you?"
"Why? You have your own condo."
Truth or lie truth or lie? Lie. "Well some friends are staying the night." Like hell they are. "They're all girls so it'd be awkward."
"Whatever. He's gonna have to make his own way over though."
I could practically smell the booze through the phone. I got angry.
"Why? Can you come get him? Or are you drunk?"
"Bye Sasha."

I can't believe that asshole keeps skipping out on his AA meetings. He's been drinking ever since mom died. One night he damn near killed this teenager when he drove with a 1.9 BAC. Now he has to go to AA meetings to stay out of jail. His trailer park is away from any cop stalked areas, he has a record, and he clearly doesn't care if he gets arrested again. Perfect.
"Josh, you can stay with my dad but don't tell him you busted out or he'll bust your chops."
"Haha okay."
I looked at Julie again. She must have went to sleep on the couch at some point. Ah well.
"Sasha ... take care of my sister okay?"
"I've been doing pretty good so far haven't I?"
He looked at her and smiled. "Yeah. Thanks. Tell her I love her and I'll see her at the twins' party."
"I will man and lay low. Bring it in." We hugged and he went out the door.
Julie always resorts to sleeping when she wants to stop crying. Josh is gone now so I guess it's safe to wake her up.
I walked over to her and rubbed her cheek. "Julie? Wake up."
"Ugh ..."
"You okay?"
"Where's Josh? Actually don't tell me. If the cops question me, I don't wanna have to lie."
I laughed. She's so cautious. "Get up. They'll be here soon and we still have to get wasted."
"Well can you make me something to hold me over for the wait?"
"Sure. Any requests?"
"Double Slurr please."
"Coming right up."
A Slurr is one of my raunchiest creations. I designed it specifically to slur people's minds. It's a mix between Irish Crème and Grey Goose (or Absolut). Julie likes extra Vodka in hers. I typically stay away from Slurrs unless I've had a particularly bad day. As I was handing the drink to Julie, there was another knock at the door. I went to open it and it really was Sam this time.
"Hey Sammie!"
"Ay little sis! I brought mooovviieeesss!"
Cool. Julie's gonna need a distraction from the alcohol at some point tonight. She tends to drink her problems away. "What movies?"
"The Hangover, Bridesmaids, and Bound."
"You would bring Bound ..."
"Well you know me. I like to stir up the conversations!" She winked.
My sister is 21 and still manipulates the hell out of situations. What situation you ask? That story requires a bit of information so ... I think it's time to reveal my deepest darkest secret that no one but my sister knows.
Drum role please?
...
Pretty please?
...
Fine.
Here it goes: I've been in love with Julie for 3 years now. There. I said it. She's the one person I have ever loved in my whole entire life but I can't tell her that or she will flip out! Ever since we almost died I haven't been able to get her out of my heart. I was so afraid of losing her that day. Even when we were finally safe, I couldn't let her go. I knew I loved her from then on. Why else would I risk my life for her? Why else would I cry for the first time in years? I told that to Sam like 6 months ago and she's been trying to subtly hook us up ever since. In her mind, watching a movie like Bound and then leaving me alone with Julie means I'll get a chance to sleep with her. But, unfortunately, Julie is the straightest thing since Mother Teresa so I'm SOL (shit out of luck). Sam is never gonna give up though so I'll try not to argue.
