Dinner was... eventful to say the least.
Bianca wanted to know everything she could possibly find out about Lando, and the boy being as extroverted as usual answered every question with a smile and a joke. It was fun to watch for Marnie, her sitting back and observe as the two spoke animatedly, two of the most extroverted people she knew. It wasn't like watching Max and Enzo, who'd chat quietly over a glass of whiskey, these two were loud and dramatic ( in a good way ) and it was just everything.
Lorenzo, however, barely said a word the entire dinner, glaring at the boy like he'd killed their family cat, and every time he did speak, it was short, clipped and made Lando visibly uncomfortable, his nervousness from before they left returning in full force every time Enzo opened his mouth.
But Marnie knew, Marnie could see the way his eyes softened when they told them about their dates, how his lip twitched whenever Lando made a joke, the way his face brightened when she told him how happy Lando made her, she saw it all and she knew he liked Lando. She knew he just wanted to play the protective dad role for the first time ever and she knew that when the two men cleared the plates and returned from the kidding with pudding and smiles on both of their faces that her dad had finally relented and succumbed to the charm that was Lando Norris.
