Marnie's head whipped in two different directions a few times, not knowing which way to go, to celebrate or to comfort. On one side both the Williams drivers DNFed and desperately needed a hug, but on the other side Max had won by a twenty second gap and the Mclarens had got their first double podium in years—Oscar had gotten his first podium ever.
And so, Marnie headed to parc ferme and hugged Max tightly, whispering in his ear to congratulate Lando for her, sent a smile in Oscar's direction and watched them spray champagne at each other before she disappeared back into the crowd and walked towards the Williams garage.
Alex spotted Marnie before she noticed him, the boy pausing in the hall and pouting as she made her way through the garage. It didn't take long for Marnie to take note of the moping boy, sending him a sympathetic look as she opened her arms for him.
A small smile made its way onto Alex's face as he took a few steps forwards, practically collapsing into Marnie's arms — which was quite the sight to see considering Alex was taller than Marnie. The girl wrapped her arms around his shoulders, rubbing a hand over his back to comfort him.
