Living with Naru?! Part 3

I walked out of the empty hospital. As I slowly stepped outside on the gravel walk way, I let my body take in the fresh air. My body soon relaxed and I felt better. Though my heart still felt like darkness was hugging it. Taking my heart as it pleased. But I shouldn't worry about that now...I should worry about telling Naru and the others  that i'm not going on cases for awhile...but they probably won't care either way so I won't tell them. (For now)

I walked through the park and went to the hidden path that lead me to my house. I sighed and walked up the pathway. I finally got to my house and walked in. I turned on the light and went to the living room.

"It's really cold in here...." I muttered.

I grabbed the blanket that laid on the top of the couch and hugged it around me. I stared at the table, something was bothering me...but I don't know what. I just stared blankly at the table and then I heard knocking coming from upstairs.

"W-what the?"

I got up and slowly walked upstairs. My eyes widened.

"They followed me here?! But how?!"

I took a step back from the hallway and leaned against the stairs. The distorted figure stared at me with its blank eyes.

(I haft to get out of here!) 

I ran down the stairs and headed towards the door. I put my hands on the knob and tried to open the door but it wouldn't open....

"No...LET ME OUT!" 

I tried and tried to get the door to open but nothing...Then I smelt something odd in the other room.

"Smoke?" 

"Oh no..."

Fire was spreading everywhere inside the house, I tried every possible way to escape but nothing....My eyes widened as I felt the heat spreading around me and then I collapsed to the ground.

(Spirits do really hate me....)

(15 minutes later...)

I opened my eyes and I found myself outside...I bolted up but then my body went limp again and I felt nauseous.

"Careful young lady...your lucky your not dead just got some burned marks on ya" Said a man. I looked up and a man was sitting next to me wrapping my arms and legs with bandages.

"So what happened?" He asked with a stern look on his face.

"I don't know...I just got home from the hospital and then a fire just came out of nowhere...." I said truthfully.

He nodded and then a black van pulled in on the sidewalk. And then....they  came running out of the van and dashed towards me.

"You alright?" Naru asked as he knelt down to me.

I nodded still frightened by what just happened.

Naru sighed, "Well if you want to stay with me I guess that's alright".

My face turned red and I just stared at him blankly. Naru put out his hand signaling me "come on just get up already so we can leave"...

So, I grabbed his hand and then we left, watching as the firefighters almost done putting the fire out. (Why does stupid crap like this happen to me?)

(Well Mai your really unlucky haha lol sorry)

I looked out the window as I watch everything in a blur and before I knew it I was at Naru's. We all walked in and I was breath taken on how it looked.
