Exorcise the Ghost Mom..!(End of Part 6)

I laid in the darkness. So silent. I found myself in a hallway. As I walked down I felt my body get cold. The mother...She was there, standing in front of me. Cold dead eyes, and a wide grin spread across her face. The dark shadow that once was above, devoured her. "Mai". A voice said. I turned around and Gene was there. He walked up to me and whispered into my ear, "Do what you must. Save her.". I knew what he meant....She was already gone to begin with. A dark soul wandering the earth. I sat there. Staring at her. I thought for a moment, what will Emily do when she finds out? That's a question that will soon be answered.

I woke up and noticed that I was wrapped in bandages. I was in a bedroom. "This is Emily's". I stared at the window in thought. I felt a dark presence lurking up in front of the door. I sat there scared. It was the same feeling as the one in my dream. I saw the doorknob twist and turn, and slowly the door began to open. The women walked in with a smile. "How are you feeling? Any better? Here have some tea!". I hesitantly grabbed the tea and sat there.

"You know. You really irritate me. Why did you let my daughter live? And why are you still alive period?". She asked furiously.

"W-what do you mean? Wait! You let those people hurt her didn't you!".

The women nodded and smiled. "Go ahead and drink your tea.".

"No!". I smashed the cup of tea on the floor and then she started to make a growling like sound. "Why must you be a pest?". She hissed. The women grabbed me by the neck and held me into the air. 

I heard someone running up to the door. I glanced behind the women and it was Emily. She was horrified. "Mommy what are you doing!". She shouted. "Emily...go..get the others!".

Emily nodded and ran as fast as she could. "You're dead! But why....why do it? H-hurting people..". She just smiled and her grip became harder. I heard a whistle sound behind me and then the mother vanished, making me fall to the ground. I coughed a few times and rubbed my neck. "Ow..". 

"So, she was just a spirit. A dark soul taking up as a human. Interesting...". A voice said.

Bou-san walked into the room. "Mai are you alright?". he asked. I nodded. I noticed Lin was in the doorway. He saw me looking at him and then he walked away. Bou-san pulled me up and stared at me.

"What is it?". I asked.

"Nothing". Bou-san turned around and left. "Weird...". I mumbled.

"How can I save her?". I walked out of the hallway and went to base. When I entered the room everyone turned towards me. "Mai are you alright?". Naru asked. I nodded, "My neck hurts, but i'm fine".

Naru turned back to the monitors with Lin and they began to whisper to each other. "Mai remember when you said you did the exorcism that one time". Naru said.

 I nodded slowly. "Feel like doing it again?". He asked with a smile.

(Well I have no choice...)

I took a deep breath, "Yeah I guess".

"Good.".

"Do it tomorrow, we're all heading to her bedroom.". Naru told everyone in a low voice. I walked out of the room feeling a bit irritated. "Emily...". I mumbled to myself. I walked back to my room and fell asleep.

The next day came. I got up and put on a blue tank top and a navy blue vest over it. I put on my white skirt, socks and my shoes and went to the mother's bedroom. Right when I walked in, the temperature instantly turned cold.

Not to long after that Naru and the others came in. I was sitting on the bed kicking my feet.

They asked if I was ready and I said yes. I laid down on the bed and they all stared at me confused. I took a deep breath and soon enough I fell into a deep sleep.
