The Power of The Necklace! (End of Part 9!)

I struggled to sleep. I felt wide awake, I felt more alert....What happened earlier today was something that I would never forget....

As I looked around the dark room, everything felt silent, it felt as if time was set still. For a moment I was worried, but my nerves later calmed down to the soothing sound of the wind. 

Though, once I began to relax, knocking crept inside the room. Footsteps to.

1, 2. 1, 2. 1, 2....I counted as I listened carefully to the soft noise coming from the floor. 
Once the noise stopped I stood up, now standing on the bed. I glanced at each corner of the room, each door and every window, though nothing. 

As I sighed in relief I felt my back get punched or hit and I was soon falling onto the mattress, landing on my knees. I felt my nerves go out of control and I felt my blood pound against my skin. I rubbed my back but slowly regretted it. Every time I touched my back to help it relax, the pain would worsen....

For the whole night I played a staring contest with my new friend...

As the calming sun rose and the bright light peaked through the window, I stumbled out of bed snd I went to get dressed. Once I got done dressing myself I staggered my feet down the hallway. I tried to keep my balance but my spine and the bottom of my back was in abominable pain...

When I got to base I saw everyone already there. I walked in steadily and stared at the window. 
"Mai?". Naru questioned as he walked up to me. "Y-Yes?".
By the looks in his eyes he wanted his precious tea. I sighed and walked to the tea pot. As I brewed the tea I felt someone's presence behind me. I glanced back but no one was there so I ignored it.

"Here master!". I handed Naru the cup of tea and walked slowly to a chair and sat down. 
"Ello there Mai, are you feeling alright?". John asked as he walked up to me. I nodded and looked away. "Are you lying?". He asked me. 

I sighed and just explained what happened. His eyes widened and he placed his hand under his chin. "If you want I can try to purify that room..". He said calmly and he dug through his pockets.
"T-that would be nice...". I replied softly. He nodded and walked out of the room.

I closed my eyes for a moment, but then a vision sparked in my head. It was all blurred but I saw  someone's face. The same face I saw last night...Jounouchi...It's like his soul became possessed by a darker spirit...But what kind of spirit??

"Nngh-".

A sharpening pain went through my head. I pressed my hand against my forehead and took deep breaths.

"Mai are you alright?!". Masako gasped as she ran up to me. It took me a minute to respond but I said I was fine with a simple "yes".

She scolded at me and stood there. Naru walked towards us, then he towered over me.
"Spit it.". He demanded. 

"Fine. I'll yell it to the world to make all of you happy!". I shouted. Everyone's eyes were now on me.

"Our little friend Jounouchi came into my room last night okay! My back is in dying pain, he abused me last night! I couldn't sleep, and now all those missing students?! HE MURDERED THEM! So go have fun doing your little thing like usual while i'm the sitting duck! I always end up getting hurt around here okay! Now i'm getting these stupid visions and it's making my head hurt like hell!". I shouted furiously at them. John walked right in when I said this...

I took some more deep breaths and tried to calm myself.

"My temper has been on edge lately...". I muttered.

My shoulders stiffened due to it being quiet......

I stared at everyone but no one moved nor talk. A few seconds later everyone turned around and returned to what they were doing. "Well then...".
I grabbed a hold of the pendant and watched it glow dimly.
