Y/n tiredly opens the door to your apartment, placing your bag onto the coat rack. The calm, quiet atmosphere of the apartment gets broken by a soft sneeze from the couch. You look up, not expecting to see Bucky sitting there looking miserable.
"Aren't you meant to be on a mission?" You ask softly.
"They said I was 'too sick' to go." He complains.
"That's disappointing. I'm sorry."
He sneezes. "Not your fault I'm sick."
"You look hell." You deadpan.
He rolls his eyes. "Wow, exactly what every man wants to hear when their sick."
You smile. "Doesn't mean it's not true. Here, I'll go get you a cocoa."
"You don't have to."
"You're sick. You're getting cocoa." Your tone brooks no argument, and Bucky's too sick and tired to fight you.
You get into the kitchen and grab out the cups. After making two cups of cocoa, one for you and one for him, you decide to add just a little bit of honey to his drink. You don't know if it actually works, but you've been told that honey helps for coughs and sore throats. It's just one of those things that you always put in hot drinks when you're sick.
Walking back to the couch, you smile softly as you see Bucky looking tired and sick. "Here." You smirk. "Don't drink it too quickly." He gratefully accepts the cup.
"Thanks, doll. You're amazing."
"Thank me when you're better." You say teasingly. "And aren't super soldiers not meant to get sick?"
"Just because we can't get sick as easily as others doesn't mean we can't get sick."
He falls asleep not too long later, and you pull a blanket over him so that he's comfortable. After taking the cups in the kitchen, you sigh, this is going to be a long couple of days. According to Steve he didn't ever get sick often, but he's not one to just let himself rest and recover when he does.

Sorry I haven't written any fics in a while, schoolwork's been kinda crazy recently, and I've been working on a project. But now I've got ten days with nothing planned.
