Daryl's Pov.
"Is there anything else you need to tell us??"
"My daddy he, he um, he raped me." I say as I start to sob.
"How many times did that happen??"
"I don't know, a lot. I then turned to the judge and said "Can I please go back and sit with Dale, I don't want to do this anymore."
"Yes you may go sit with Dale."
"Thank you."
I jump out of the chair and run to Dale who is in tears, I jump In his lap and hold onto him for dear life, he then hugs me back and whispers "I didn't know, I'm so sorry." In my ear.
A hour or so later the judge comes back and says that the jury has come up with a verdict.
"How have you found Mr. Dixon on the count of Murder??"
"The jury has found Mr. Dixon.. Guilty of murder."
"How have you found Mr. Dixon on the count of a verbal and physical child abuse??"
"We have found Mr. Dixon.. Guilty."
"And how have you found Mr. Dixon on the count of sexual assault on a child??"
"We have found Mr. Dixon.. Guilty."
"Mr. Dixon you are now sentenced to 10 years in prison, but you can come back to court in 4 years if you have good behavior and try to get parole. You may all go home now."
Sorry it's short I really wanted to leave the cliffhanger last chapter but I really wanted to finish the trial without anything else in that chapter. This story will get happy for a while now.
This is my 2nd least favorite chapter I've ever written, I didn't really know how to write it so if it sucks I'm really sorry.
