Authors Note: I have no idea how this will turn out... I didn't come up with a better name for the language either so it'll stay 'Animal Language'. M'kay?
Oh well, just hope for the best... I guess. HEY! Look... It makes so much sense it, kinda, rhymes.

~Authors POV~
~Skyloft~
Five years have passed since Link was sent to the surface and Skyloft seemed so dreary without its 'Hero'. Pipit walked around the academy, with a sleep deprived looking face. 'Today would've been Hero's 9th birthday... I'm gonna miss the little rascal... And his fights with the Remlits.' Pipit thought, memories flooding back to him. He began to tear up as he thought about Link, but he quickly wiped them away and tried to shove the blonde out of his mind. He knew he couldn't get him out of his mind and he just won a small battle in his mental war. A part of him said to go to the surface and rescue Link, but on the other hand he had to accept responsibility and leave his 'son' there. Pipit could barely see inside his room, thanks to the night. He was lying on his bed trying to get some sleep. After about an hour of sorrow, he finally fell asleep.

~Surface~
Link glared at the Shadow Crystal and laid his ears back against dirty blond hair. Crystal, my guardian, was holding in her mouth. "What're we gonna do with that?" Link whined softy. In the five years Link has been on the surface, Link has become very skilled in the Animal Language. Link could speak to just about anything and don't think he forgot Hylian. Link knew it but he just never spoke it, sadly. "Link, it's time for you to learn for you to hunt and you clearly can't do it in that body." She said forcing the Shadow Crystal out at me. I took it into my hands and... Nothing happened. "What do I need this for?" Link asked moving it around in my hands. "Well... Aren't you gonna transform?" She asked. "Transform?" Link asked cocking his head sideways and giving her a confused look. "How?" "I guess you just think about yourself as a wolf, sadly that's the only thing you can turn into." Link thought and thought, but couldn't transform... Until... "HEY, LINK!" Another wolf growled loudly. It was Vane, a wolf from another pack and Link's worst enemy. He got very angry, no it was worse than that... He was livid. "Get away, Vane. I'm warning you." Link said as he got up onto all fours, yes he walks like a wolf. Vane just circled around the boy. Link's tail stood up high, his ears tilted against his head, and the tip was wagging, as a sign of warning. Link didn't care how much bigger Vane was than him, he'd still defeat him. "Look at you and your false courage." Vane laughed then finished his fifth circle to face Link. They both stared each other down while Crystal just watched, making sure things didn't get out of hand. After all... Link did have to learn how to fight, too. Vane suddenly pounced on top of Link, who was now on his back, and bit into his left shoulder, opening a new wound. Link's eyes shut tightly and yelped from the pain of Vane's teeth entering his shoulder. Link reopened his eyes, but they were blood red. A feral growl erupted from him and he transformed into a dark gray wolf with dark, cream colored designs on his sides and some near his stomach. He stretched his head and bit into Vane's black fluffy chest and the blood bled out of the teeth shaped wounds. Link smiled sadistically as he switched positions with Vane, making him the one on top. "Woah, Link! I was just kidding! You know how my pack is." Vane begged as his eyes filled with fear. That just made Link's eyes flicker with merciless fury. He bit into the left side of Vane's neck, silencing him. Link moved away form his passed enemy and glared at the limp body. Link walked off, but didn't get very far before he collapsed. "AHHHHHHHHHHH!" Link howled. "Make it stop!" Crystal maternal instincts told her to go help him, but her natural instincts told her to stay away from him, considering what he had done to Vane. Link transformed back into a Hylian, but that didn't end his pain. Link continued to scream, almost as if something was ripping apart from his body. Link suddenly passed out and went silent. Crystal slinked towards Link and licked his face. "Wake up, Link." Crystal said. Link didn't budge. She placed her white paw on Link's forearm to make sure he was still warm and he was. 'Good,' thought Crystal, 'At least he's not dead.' She bit into Link's collar and drug the nine year old back to their den.

~Link's POV~
My back is freezing on the ground, winter must be nearing this time of year. I placed my hand on the back of my head and groaned as I sat up. I looked around my surroundings and noticed I was back in the den. I heard a twig snap nearby my ears perked up and so did my tail, but I didn't move a muscle. Then the noise got closer and closer to the den. "Link!" Someone whispered from the shadows. "Get over here, you'll be safe." I was didn't listen, I was positively reluctant. 'You should really listen to her, she's right after all.' A voice echoed in my head. I was stunned at first, but I went ahead. I crouched down and snuck into the shadows. 'Who and what are you?' I thought. 'That's not important right now.' It echoed. 'Well can you at least tell me what I can call you?' I asked. 'Dark, call me Dark.' It said. 'Ok, Dark.' I stated. I looked over to the wolf who called me over, Crystal. "Link, stay quiet and don't move a muscle." She whispered hastily. I only nodded in response. I heard the sound of the pads of other wolves paws trotting along the hard rock of the den. I was planning on making a risk, but it wasn't worth it. Not right now anyway. 'Who are these guys?' I thought to Dark. 'How the hell would I know?' He asked me. Truth be told, I don't care for cursing. I mean it's not like I do it. I sniffed the air and almost instantly recognized the scent. Vane's pack. They must've come to avenge his death, by taking my life. I almost let a growl slip out, but kept it hidden. I hate his pack so much. They call themselves 'The Conquerors', ironically they're the ones who get conquered by everyone. Hopefully we can too. Their always picking on us, but their not doing it because they want our territory. Their doing it because they want me.

~Ghirahim's POV~
~Twilight Realm~
I sat on a burgundy sofa in between Midna and Dad. She smiled as she ruffled my white hair. It usually cupped both sides of my face down to my chin. "You, my son, need a haircut." Dad said. 'FINALLY!' I thought. Dad picked me up and carried me to a part of the castle I'd never been to. I was placed in a chair that was manned by someone I didn't know. There's a lot of things I don't know about the home I live in and I've been here for FIVE YEARS. "Alright, Ghirahim. How do you want your hair?" Dad asked. "I'd like to have this side of my head," I waved my right hand around the right side of my head, "To be shaven, but not bald. And the left side shall stay the same." I solemnly said. The man nodded. "If you don't mind me asking, what's your name kind sir?" I asked, whispering slightly. "It's Thomas." He stated with a deep voice. "Thomas, that's a nice name and it seems to fit you very well." I complimented him. "That's very nice of you, Ghirahim and I think it's great for a young Twili of your age to speak such well Hylian, especially since it's such a hard language to learn. You must have some of the best teachers." Thomas looked at my family sitting behind me in some velvet chairs. This place is almost too fancy for me. Thomas picked up something in his hand from a nearby desk. It had sharp things on the top and it vibrated and buzzed. He held it close to my head, but I stopped him before he put it too close. "What's that?" I asked as I shifted away from the thing. "It's an electric shaver. Don't worry it won't bite." Thomas joked. "Ok, I trust you." I said as he put it against my head and shaved my hair, exactly the way I asked. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" I smiled. " You're welcome, Ghirahim." Thomas said. I jumped out of the chair and ran over to Midna. "What do you think?" I asked. "It definitely suits you, I'll give you that. There's just one thing wrong." She said. I asked, "What? What's wrong with my hair?" She looked at me like I was stupid. "Not your hair, Smart One." Midna said sarcastically. "It's your ear, the one on the side you didn't shaved off. Your ear's rounded. Not pointy like ours." "Well, I never noticed that. I wonder where that came from." Mom said. "Well actually, if you haven't noticed, I have the same thing with my ears." Demise said. "Cool." I said, completely in awe. "Well, it's about time for us to get home, don't you think?" Dad asked. I yawned in reply and I was picked up by Dad. Midna soon followed.

~Ghirahim's House~
I was softly nudged in the shoulder by Midna. "Wake up, Child." I yawned and looked around. I was in my room, excuse me. Our room. I'd shared a room with Midna for as long as I can remember. "What do you want? Can't you see I'm trying to sleep?" I groggily argued. "Fine I'll let you sleep... For now." Midna sighed as she walked off. What was all that about?
