~Link's POV~

"Link! Link!" Scar howled in his search. Its only been a week since the devastating attack from The Conquers. "Scar!" I yelped weakly. A tree had fallen on top of me in my sleep. I swear, it felt like I'd broken several of my ribs. I was in my human form, I wasn't going to try and change back into my wolf form after what happened earlier. My ears perked up and I heard the sound paws beating on the ground. 'You're ok, right? If not I could come out and help you.' Dark questioned me. 'I'm fine, Dark. Don't worry about it.' He would ask every once in a while. My ears began to swivel around as I heard the thudding getting closer. It stopped somewhere in the woods that were surrounding me. I hope it's who I think it is. It peaked around one of the trunks of a tree and I glared at it, trying to decipher who or what it was in the dark of night. My eyes widened as I realized that it wasn't Scar, not with that dark blue head. It trotted from behind the tree and gave me a full glimpse of its body. It howled and a blinding white light enveloped it and it transformed into a female Hylian with a dark blue tail and a pair of dark blue ears. What are the odds? She began to approach me and I growled menacingly, well tried. She rolled her bluish-gray eyes and continued to walk towards me. "That sure looks heavy. Are you alright?" She asked sarcastically with a smirk on her face. "I'm fine," I stated calmly, wagging my tail with false happiness. "Oh, well. I guess I'll be on my way." She said. "Do you not understand sarcasm?" I asked. 'Dude, seriously. You could've just ask me. I don't trust her, I can't.' Dark's voice echoed loudly in my head. 'How would you even get me from under here?' I asked. 'Magic.' He replied weakly. 'Yeah, ok.' I laughed. "Ok, lets get you out of here." She said, taking hold of the tree. She pulled with all her might, but couldn't get it up enough for me to get out. "Link!" Crystal shouted as she rounded a nearby tree. Her eyes narrowed with writhing wrath. She and Scar crouched down in an attack stance. "Who are you?!" Crystal yelled in anger. "Well... My name's Cody, short for Dakota." She smiled. Crystal was still growling, until she saw the position I was in. She rushed over to me with a panicked look on her face. "What happened to you?!" She yelped. "A tree-" She stopped me before I could barely start my sentence. "It was her wasn't it?!" "No." I whispered. She turned to Cody and snarled at her, making Cody tuck her tail between her legs. Crystal had a hesitant look on her face, I wonder what that's about. "Don't worry, I'll get you from under here." Crystal said as her expression softened. She bit into the trunk of the tree and closed her eyes. My vision was beginning to fade away when I saw a bright light illuminating from Crystal's left paw. 'What is that?!' Dark yelled. I forced my eyes closed; by reflex, I huddled my tail between my legs. Suddenly, I felt an enormous weight being lifted off my back. I forced my eyes open and looked at Crystal. I heard Dark hiss in my head, 'Close your damn eyes!' 'No, I have to know what's going on.' That's the last thing I could say before I passed out.

~Dark's POV~

Idiot. He could've avoided this, but no. He refused my help. I have to get out of his head and into the real world. I'm sick of always looking out of his eyes, reading his thoughts, only being able to talk to him, only being able to see the world beyond this prison through being his shadow, the list goes on and on. That's it, I'll have to escape his body as soon as possible. 'Link... You ok?" I called to him. I got no response, so I tried to look out of his eyes. Nothing, it was pitch black. Please don't be dead. I traveled to his shadow and looked around. What the hell? It's daytime... How long has Link, I mean have we, been out? I felt him stir. 'Link?' I asked again. Still no response. That's it. I was about to come out and help him until he weakly thought, 'Dark...' 'Yes, Link?' I answered. 'What happened?' He whimpered. 'I... I... I honestly have no idea. Do you want me to take a look around?' I asked, the words were pure silk flowing from my mouth. 'Please do.' Link thought. Was he serious? He couldn't be. 'Ok...' I said. I finally got what I wanted, the privilege to leave. 'Thank you! I'll never forget this!' I exclaimed. I believe if I could've seen Link's face he would've worn the expression of confusion. I'm surprised I don't even know what his face looks like, no need to say what he looks like himself. I left, for the first time I actually left. I glanced around, with my own eyes. I stood, unsure how I was able... Wait, I was there when he took his first steps, while he was standing on two legs anyway... I looked down at my hands, they were as pale as the snow that falls in the winter. It happens to be my favorite season. I took a step forward and looked around, nothing but trees outside the den. Oh, and a rather large lake in the distance. Just like what I'd seen through Link's eyes. I forced that thought out of my mind. I lowered and shook my head, catching a glimpse of Link. He had tannish skin along with an, almost too small, black shirt with dark grayish pants that went down to his knees. Link sat up and held the back of his head and his sky blue eyes widened. 'He looks exactly like me, but so different.' He thought. "You know I can still hear your thoughts, right?" I asked slowly, like a young child learning to speak. Link tried to stand, but I stopped him. "You must be hurt," I said trying to make him stay. "You should get your rest." He nodded his head and laid back down. His shoulder length blond hair sprawled out against the ground. As he closed his eyes I said, "I'm going out to make sure nothing is out to hurt you. If you get into any trouble just howl or think or something to let me know, ok?" He nodded his head. I left the den and headed straight for the lake. I tipped over a bit to get a good look at my reflection. Woah... I had the exact same slim body form as Link, but I didn't have any of the same characteristics. I had blood red eyes that complimented my pale skin. I wore a tunic, tights and a pair of boots. All black. There was also a hat that fit snug on my head, also black. 'I should probably get going.' I thought as I walked towards the shadow of a tree and stared at it with an unsure look on my face. 'Well,' I thought. 'If it works with Link's shadow... It should work with other shadows... Right?' I stepped onto the shadow of the tree and was surprised as I sunk downward, the tree's shadow taking me to a new world. I looked around. It looked exactly like the land I was just on, but the color was drained and the surroundings were in shades of black and gray. I took a step forward and jumped from surprise. My footsteps echoed in the background. I continued to walk forward, ignoring the sounds of my feet, and grinned... I suddenly stopped. There was a moving darkness above my head and... Gruff and masculine voices. I could make out what they were saying, but just by a smidgen. "Who knew hunting could be so hard, am I right guys?" One man asked. "Shh... I think I see one of 'em a different man shushed the other. I stood on my tiptoes to enhance my hearing. Well at least until I got a frightened call from Link. 'Help! Dark, Help! They've got me, the humans!' 'I'm on my way!' I ran through the foreign place hoping to get to Link as quick as possible... I hope he's ok...

~Link's POV~

This is not good, not good at all... There were so many things wrong with this situation that it wasn't even funny."Hey!" I yelped as I was thrown onto a solid surface. I would've scratched and bit my captor, but I was tied up at the moment... Tied up in a bag. I was bound at the arms and legs with a bandana tightly gripped my mouth. 'Dammit! I'm so fucking stupid... I fall asleep this once, ONCE, and I get killed... Well probably killed.' I thought to myself, well it was supposed to be to myself anyway. 'Woah! Watch your language Mr.Potty-Mouth!' Dark panted, he sounds tired. 'No time for that you imbecile. RESCUE ME!' I retorted back. 'Well... EXCUUUUSE ME, PRINCESS!' Dark yelled back. 'Where are you anyway?' I asked. 'I don't know.' Dark simply stated. 'What the hell, Dark!' I yelled as I moved around inside the bag. 'Well I can't find you, where are you?' Dark asked. 'I'm at the den... I think.' I said. "Quit your moving. I'm not going to hurt you," My captor said, obviously a man, in a deep voice. "We're almost there anyway." I suddenly felt something inside my head. 'I'm back, Link!' Dark shouted. 'Finally... Goddess!' I sighed as I relaxed somewhat. I wonder where I'm going...
