~Link's POV~

I fidgeted with my blanket, trying to find the long end. That's impossible to do in the darkness. I'm now 15 and having the most ridiculous growth spurt. I'd outgrown several blankets and now had to sleep under the quilt and sheets, like a human... Humans are weird. Me and Dark have been growing a healthy relationship as "twins". I'd also found Crystal, long story short, she was howling near Lake Hylia and I tracked her down from there. She'd begun living with us and her and we would still roughhouse, something the others didn't want to do. Dark and I would spar and practice our combat skills. I would occasionally win, me being the weaker one. Dark was trying to help me out by going easy, but his "easy" was brutal. He overwhelmed me in combat, he was amazing strong and fast. I may have been the agile one, but he managed to get a good hit in on me every once in a while. He and Kyo were the leading causes of all the scars across my body. I'd also gotten a mare and named her Epona. She had beautiful chestnut coat and a flowing white mane, with a tail to match and she was my main mode of transportation, just like everyone else. Modern day technology also had an impact on me at this age. I'm supposed to be getting the latest iPhone for Christmas, or so I've been told... Thank you Kyo. Dark had been spending a little more time with Ganon. I peeked in one time and saw that Dark was mastering some kind of magic. Once it got to strong for him and propelled him against a wall, making a loud thud and a dent in the wall. When he came back he was, literally, electrifying to the touch and he had a few white streaks randomly scattered along his hair. Dark never ate anything, but he always attended the family dinner. He said that when I eat, he also gets his fill. I felt like I had to eat twice as much to support the both of us. Dark and Ganon assured me that I didn't have to and that when I felt full, so did he. I'd also started speaking, a little if any. I'd gotten down all the concepts and grammar down as a child, so I didn't really need any help with that. If anything I needed to work on pronunciation. I yawned, curling up and nestling my tail until it was up against my upper torso. For whatever reason it seemed to grow faster than the rest of me. I jumped as I heard a thud come from the other side of the room. I flicked on the light, which was right beside my bed, and looked over to see Dark, who was quite the heavy sleeper, sprawled out on the floor. I smirked at him before I got out of bed to pick him up. He was always so light, yet he was buff. Not disgustingly buff, but just... Buff... I tossed him onto his bed, chest up, and covered him up with his black quilt. I then hopped back into my bed, shivering. I swear they still have the AC on... Or they just never turned the heat on. I yawned again, stretching. I felt shifting at the foot of my bed. "Crystal..." I whispered. I'd forgotten she was there. She crawled up to my arms, half asleep, and curled up against my chest. She emitted some heat, but I think that she was trying to get warm too. I knew she would always come to me for heat, not Dark. For whatever reason his skin was frigid 24/7. I snorted as some of Crystal's black and white, seemingly perfectly blended, fur tickled my nose. I felt my eyes become heavy and eventually fell asleep.

~Ghirahim's POV~

I grinned as I heard Midna still practicing her magic. Mastering her magic seemed to be her top priority now. I have a power, too... Even though it was on accident. I was trying to give Midna the power of teleportation, which she got regardless, but something went wrong and I also got the power. I chanted:

I'm sick and tired of this place

Take me to another space

It won't do wrong, it may do right

Take me there before midnight

Gods and Goddesses here my plea

This is my will so mote it be

I can only guess that on that day, November 26, the goddesses fated me to have powers. There was only one setback, I couldn't teleport as far as Midna. I could only teleport about eight meters, by myself, while Midna could teleport miles with me. Another thing, we had little... Things that would appear after we teleported, when we left and when we appeared. For instance. If Midna teleported, little black, glossy-looking squares, that closely resembled the squares that were all over the place on the Twilight Realm. I had diamonds that would appear. They came in several different shades of orange. I was watching Midna play with her magic. She walked over to me and slapped me in the back of the head then spoke, "You're just jelly that I have more powers than you~" I rolled my eyes and watched her skip off towards her bed. There was only one bed in this house and since I was too old to sleep in a bed with my sister, I let her have the bed and I got the couch. Might not sound as comfortable as you think, but I it felt just like your average plush bed. I lied down, not needinghuih anuhhy covers. Demons can regulateü their body temperaturez so we don't need any sort of heating or cooling generator. I put my hands behind my head and hummed the lullaby that my mom sung to me when I was younger. I'd always remembered it, how could I forget. I hummed it several more times before I fell asleep.

~Later That Night~

~Link's POV~

I opened my eyes to see Crystal's face nudging my right arm. "What's up, girl?" I whimpered at her, patting her head. "A noise came from downstairs." She whined. I slinked out of my bed and began poking Dark in the face, knowing he hates that. Nothing. I began to tickle the bottom of his right foot and I was rewarded with the sight of him falling out of the bed, again. "What the hell do you want?" He whisper-yelled at me. "There was a noise downstars." I said, looking over at the closed door. Crystal was pacing impatiently in front of it. "First of all, it's pronounced downstairs... If it makes you feel any better, I'll go check it out." Dark said as he grabbed the black hilt of his polished sword.

~Dark's POV~

I grabbed the hilt of my sword as I opened the door to our room. I immediately sunk into the shadows, along with my sword. I walked down the inverted stairs and into the living room. 'Shit...' I thought to myself. I'd known it was only a matter of time, but... They're here... The Conquerers. Personally, I didn't like wolves, except for Link and Crystal. I watched as their thin shadows slunk across the floor. They looked like they were famished. I rushed back to Link and Crystal, scaring them as I appeared out of the floor. "We have to stay in here." I said, calmly. "Why, Dark?" Link asked, walking towards the door. I grabbed him by his left arm, pulled him backwards and covered his mouth. "Link just trust me, it's for your own good..." I said as I took my hands off of him. Link's tail lowered into a submissive state as he load on his back to expose his stomach. I swear he thinks he's in his wolf form 24/7. I have to admit... It is pretty adoreab- NO, what am I saying... I'm basically taking about my brother, err... Myself. I can't have any petty emotions for him or anyone else... Can I?

~Link's POV~

I looked up at Dark who seemed to lost in thought. I flinched as Dark slammed the door behind him. Soon after two familiar screams pierced my ears. "Ze-" I screamed before Dark swatted his hand back over my mouth. I closed my eyes and covered my ears and tried to drown out the sounds with my own thoughts. Then something happened... Silence. Everything seemed to be empty. I took my hands off my ears wrapped them around the closest living thing. Dark.

~Dark's POV~

Link wrapped his arms around me and began shaking uncontrollably. I held him tighter as he began to cry softly. The part of my tunic where his face was buried was beginning to become damp. I kneeled down to relieve Link of standing, which seemed to comfort him a little more. Kyo, who had been sleeping under the bed, and Crystal padded over to us and nuzzled Link's shoulder. I ran my hand through his dirty blond hair and over his ears. He was starting to quiet down and released me and wiped his eyes, still sniffling. I grabbed his chin and forced him to look at me. His eyes were bloodshot and his cheeks were flushed. I leaned in and planted my lips softly on his. I drew back after a couple seconds, realizing what I'd done. Link's expression turned into one of shock and his nose was bleeding a little. "D-Dark..." He said, his tail wrapped around him. "Link, I'm sorry." Was all I could muster.
