A/N - Lol... Corny ending...

~Dark's POV~

Link and I were making our way to Lake Hylia to meet Roy. We were trudging through three inch deep snow. I'd told Link all about him, down to the smallest detail. Making sure to mention his blue hair, glistening sapphires and his stunning features. Link had also asked how we met, so I had no choice but to tell him the awkward story. Crystal and Kyo decided to come along with us. Kyo was getting a free ride on Link's shoulders. "Dark, where is he?" Link asked, scratching Kyo's head. "He should be here..." I said, stepping on Lake Hylia's frozen surface. "Dark... He's probably not coming, we should-" "HEY! UP HERE!" A familiar voice shouted, cutting Link off. In a very tall tree, surprising me. Roy jumped down in a swan dive position and flipped over so he was facing upwards. I just stared and waited for him to land. And he did, with a pommf. A thick haystack broke his fall and scared the shit out of me. Then he jumped out, dusting stray bits of his clothing. "Roy, what is wrong with you?! You nearly gave me a heart attack!" I shouted, running up to him. "I do not fear death." He plainly stated. "But, you do fear your landlord..." I whispered under my breath. "I heard that... WOW! Is that your brother? What happened to him?" Roy asked as he ran towards Link. "Uhh... That's my little brother Link, he's a Hylian... Please don't touch him, he's prone to attack people he doesn't know." I said, walking up to Roy. I could hear Link growling as Roy didn't heed my warning. "Roy, back up before I bite you." Link warned, growling louder. I watched in amazement as he didn't listen to Link either, Roy just reached up and patted Link's head. "You're brother's cool..." Roy said in astonishment. I was surprised that Link hadn't bitten Roy. He stopped touching Link's head and walked over to me, a black duffel bag slung over his shoulder. Roy also had his golden sword, sheathed inside of a navy blue scabbard, on his hip. Link slowly trailed behind him, a rather envious look on his face. "Well, let's go back to camp." I said, leading the way. Roy caught up to me and grabbed my hand with his, intertwining our fingers soon after. I could feel my face becoming hot as I blushed. Link would do this sometimes, but with Roy... It gave me a different feeling than the brotherly love I felt for Link. It was more like a feeling of need, dear goddess... I-I believe I've fallen in love. I felt Link brush up against my thigh, now in his wolf form, and gave me a sad look. 'Don't worry, Link... Like I said, I'll never forget you're there.' I thought to him, patting his head. He shrunk away, trailing behind Roy and I. Honestly I felt bad how Link thought I would forget about him... He should know by now that I'd never forget my hero.

~Link's POV~

I trailed behind Dark and his new boyfriend (not that I was his old one) walked ahead of Kyo, Crystal and I. I don't know how exactly to describe the feeling I have right now, but it's eating me alive. "What's wrong with you?" Kyo asked, hopping on my back. "He's just jealous of the relationship between Dark and Roy and thinks that the brotherly bond they once had is going to just... Disappear..." Crystal said, stopping to shake off the snow from her fur coat. "How-how did you know?" I asked. "Motherly instincts." Crystal plainly stated. Well then... Looks like I have to start competing for Dark's affection. Er, attention. 'No, you don't have to... Hero.' Dark thought to me. 'How many times do I have to tell you? Don't call me Hero!' I said, almost snarling. 'Well... Geez, don't have to get so worked up about it. I just really like the name... It suits you... Oh, and... You can tell me not to call you 'Hero' with that beautiful voice of yours, but it's not going to deter me.' Dark said, making me stop in my tracks. I could hear him snickering in front of me. 'Oh, why do I bother? You're just going to keep calling me that regardless, aren't you?' I asked, now starting to catch up to Crystal. 'I just said that, Hero.' Dark said. I sighed and let out a surprised yelp as I slipped on a stretch of ice. "Hero, you okay?" Dark asked, turning around. I nodded my head and stood up again. As I placed my front left paw on the, what seemed to be firm, ground in front of me... It collapsed, sending me and Kyo underground. "Hero!" Dark yelled. I could hear him running over. His head appeared over the hole we just fell into. I changed back into my human form and picked up Kyo. He looked fine for the best part, but I didn't put him on the ground. "I'm fine, but could you get me out!" I asked, making an angry face. "Alright... How am I supposed to do that?" Dark asked. "I could do something to help." Roy said, looking down the hole. "Come in, Dark... I wanna explore this place." I said, walking down a carved pathway. "Link, we're coming down with you!" Dark yelled. Soon after two thuds echoed through the caverns. "Ta-da!" Roy said, looking down at Dark. He was down on the ground, face first. Dark reached up his hand for some assistance on getting up. Roy yanked Dark upwards, seeming surprised how light Dark was. "Oh, you should see the way he eats. You'd be surprised..." I muttered. "I heard that." Dark said, seemingly annoyed. I walked deeper into the catacombs, noting all the different tombstones. There was one in particular that stood out. "What does that say?" Dark asked, touching the large stone. "Looks like it's written in Skyloftian or something..." I trailed off. "What's Skyloftian?" Roy asked. "It's the language spoken on Skyloft." I said. "Where's Skyloft?" Roy asked, looking completely dumfounded. "I'll explain everything later, but for now just shut the fuck up." I said, staring at the stone slab. I heard Roy huff and then his footsteps could be heard. I turned to look at him and saw him looking at the stones. I hunched m shoulders and went back to translating Skyloftian to Hylian. "Spirits wander where they don't belong. Put them to rest with the Sun's Song... What could that possibly mean? Any ideas... Anyone?" I asked, turning around to look at everyone. "Well... Link see those music notes?" Dark asked. "Yeah, what about 'em?" I asked. "Remember how you said not to take anything out of the castle unless it was completely necessary?" Dark asked, fiddling around in his pocket. "Goddess, Dark. What'd you take?" I asked. "This..." Dark held out a blue instrument that looked vaguely familiar. "It's an ocarina or something like that. It was used to play music, like the kind on the wall. You wanna try?" Dark asked, shoving the instrument in my hands. "I don't have a choice, do I?" I asked. "Nope." Dark said, smiling. I blew into the mouth piece, surprised by the harmonious sound. Something seemed to take over my mind and I began to play the notes. "You might wanna see what's happening up here!" I heard Crystal shout. We all ran to the opening in the ground above us and peered out. A bright light was was breaking through the clouds, instantly melting some of the snow. "Okay, so again... The great question rises... HOW THE HELL ARE WE SUPPOSED TO GET OUT OF HERE?!" Dark yelled. "Roy, boost me up and Kyo and I could get out. Dark you go into the shadows and come out above. After that Dark and I could help you up, Roy. Sound good, everyone?" I said, not sure where it came from. "That'll work. Good job, Hero." Dark said, rubbing my head. Roy boosted me up towards a ledge of the hole. I grabbed on and, with some difficulty, hoisted myself up. Dark was already up and bent down over the hole, reaching a hand out to help Roy up. I also reached a hand downwards. Roy grabbed both of our hands and we pulled him up. "Look." Crystal said, motioning her head towards the sky. I looked up and immediately averted my eyes. The light was strong and slightly burned my retinas. "Gah, that's a bright light." Dark said, covering his eyes with his hands. "Did I do that?" I asked. "I guess it was that song you played... I believe it was called the Sun's Song." Dark said. "I-I couldn't have done this... I'm just a 16 year old boy!" I yelled, trying to convince myself that I wasn't capable of doing such a thing. "No, you're a hero!" Roy exclaimed, basking in the sun. "Oh, that reminds me... You know how all Hylian's are required to go to the Warriors Academy, right... Well... The age that you have to go is 18... We're all 16... We are going to school in two years!" Dark said, patting me on the back. "Yeah... About that..." I trailed off. "Continue." Dark commanded. "I'm not going to school... To me it just seems like a waste of time." I said, folding my arms in front of my chest. "Link, you don't even know what it is... Plus you might like it." Dark said, hugging me. I, unconsciously, hugged him back. Affection... It's what I've been waiting for...
